This is just an Idea I had to help promote more activity with in Turn based servers These Threads will hopefully act as a Chat for the server they represent, I figured that it might help to have a place reserved for server specific topics and problems.
For example aside from just ideal chatter TB players could ask about specific strategies for their server, or for new players wanting to enter a TB server they may want to ask in advance if a specific econ type/race is needed and of course players can argue, jest and talk “Server Politics” in these threads and anything else within reason and without breaking general Chat/Forum rules, though I think Staff should take more of a liberal approach with these threads.
Though i`m not trying to limit TB servers to just these threads, Feel free to use the general forum and all sections as you always have this is just a Chat option for a slower paced life style. |

99+ day(s) ago | Well, mineral mining should never be a primary source of income as it is never very stable, and CG market is quite abundant right now. But tax miners generally do very well for themselves on any server.
Anything above 4 or 5 is going to be better for terrans than the commercial route over the long run when it comes to food. That said it is possible to get too big and successful for your own good as an agriculture terran.
The ideal situation for an agriculture terran is to somehow capture a high population c2 or c3 to feed off the food that you make.
Virals used to be overpowered, they got a lot of hate, then they were nerfed a lot and a lot of the ships they used to be able to capture were intentionally made impossible to capture.
Additionally, the income situation for viral is somewhat unstable. They can either be tax or commercial. Commercial income is not all that great and even with the ideal ship list, commerical virals tend to struggle as 2nd tier empires even with c3s and a lot of commercial income. On the flip side, tax virals and make tons of money, but they also have very high food requirements in a food market that ranges from as low as 3 to as high as 22 or 23. If food goes far above 15, you will lose money and it is economically better to simply VM than keep making money if you are low on cash.
As such, virals have become a "harder" race to play and hence less attractive to many player. But they are still very viable. |

it seems like 95% of the server are Terrans/A.Miners, and I only see one Viral above 5k pwr. is this just coincidental or is there a reason for that?
steady flow of minerals at half price, constant CG`s available, seems like A.Miner would be a bad idea.
food prices are mediocre. hmm |
