Rules & Regulations

Short version: post like there is a person on the other end, because there is.

This board has been running since 2006. It is moderated by the game's Guides and Admins, and the rules below are the ones they actually enforce.

The rules

  1. No personal attacks. Argue with the post, not the person. Rivalry between empires is the point of the game; carrying it into abuse is not.
  2. No cheating talk. Do not share, sell or ask for exploits, multi-account arrangements, or anything that gets round the game's limits. Report it instead.
  3. Nothing that would get the board blocked. No pornography, no hate speech, no illegal material, no malware or phishing links.
  4. Do not spam. One thread per subject. Do not bump, do not repost the same message in several sections, and keep advertising to the Wanted section.
  5. Do not post other people's private information. That includes real names, addresses, emails and private messages sent to you.
  6. Use the right section. A thread in the wrong place gets moved, not deleted.
  7. Staff decisions are appealed in the Help Center, not by starting a thread about it here.

What moderation actually does

Staff can pin, lock, move and archive threads, and remove individual replies. None of it destroys anything: an archived thread stays fully readable in the archive, and a removed reply is copied there before it leaves the thread. Every one of those actions is recorded with the name of the person who took it.

Editing

You can edit your own post for 30 minutes after posting — long enough to fix a typo, short enough that a conversation cannot be quietly rewritten underneath the people replying to it. After that, ask a moderator. Edits add a dated line to the post.

Reporting

Every post has a Report link. It goes to the moderation queue, which is read by Guides and Admins. Reporting many posts at once is rate-limited — the queue is for problems, not for disagreements.

A note on the archive

Older threads are kept in The Archive. Those threads were posted before the board used categories, and the old software had no listing that could reach them — they were never deleted, just unreachable. They are read-only: read them, link them, but start new conversations in a live section.

Bounty

Staff > Bounty

We may post up a bounty (reward) for certain problems or task offered to all players. Bounty ranges from artifacts, planets to paid account. Basically this is reward to be given to any volunteers who can close the case.
