I agree with PistolPete, Deiloche, and Ishamael. Food on fast was $1-2 for years...why the sudden change? This kind of a policy would encourage everyone to go agri terran, who needs taxers if there`s a bot buying all food?

i understand the reason behind it but think it would be better served using it on a server like normal where low food prices have forced some empires into vm.

Really, really, REALLY silly decision. Taxers can get screwed for MONTHS because you let the food market stay around 20 but when it gets super low, you subsidize the food producers? Ridiculous.

I just want more things to buy on the market, lol I`ve lost billions in the last couple days due to an empty market. Oh well, I`m still selling what CGs I make to others, why not eh? Food isn`t really a concern for me, except when I buy it out and repost it lower, boosting the major food producers way over max credits, lol, that was a good day.

I think Pete makes a very valid point. Food is supposed to be the superior terran income compared to commercial. The price to pay for that is that you rely on the market. If a bot buys out food at 7 you are sure to sell and thus get a guaranteed income which is better than commercial (isnt it the same as food at 5?). This makes absolutely no sense to me... if you make such a bot then at least have it buy out at 5 or less. You choose youself the high risk, high gain income road when going agri over commercial so it shouldnt be a sure sell.

Though I do very much appreciate the initiative to help small food producers on RT! But as Pete said; there are other servers where food have been flooded below 5 forever. We should be careful not to kill market dynamics which is one of the things this game relys on.

I did not say that you were trolling and I am not going to report you for such, I just know that you have in the past trolled very heavily and I wanted to make sure your posts were sincere. Now that I know they are I am glad to hear such.

If you don`t care about another players point of view and feedback then that is to your own fault and goes to show how petty you truly are. I am trying to explain valid reasoning to you and you go insulting and throwing a fit about it.

I think you could use with some midol in the morning , mate. all joking aside, and all seriousness included, which is the most active server? which would be quickest to see effects to change in economy, which would have least impact if the changes took a down turn? valid questions in my opinion.

I am pointing out some very valid points - and I have a hard time seing why the staff would not interested in this. You are not the staff, and I basically dont care what you think.

and Pete if you`re just trolling again I`d appreciate it if you took it elsewhere, this discussion is strictly to be informative and get legitimate feedback.

How many times have people complained about stevie or staff messing with turn based servers... and how they are so sensitive to change..... why can`t something be tested on RT to see how it works out and get feedback before the turn based servers are touched. If it`s struggled with low prices for years then another few weeks won`t make a big difference.

I`ve been gone for a while, but which server has the highest number of active players atm? Of course I use the term ` active ` loosely.

I stil think this initiative should have been done at a server that have struggled with low prices for more than a few weeks.. I dont understand it to say it the least.
