Juicy Rewards

Well, I`ll be giving away planets once again on RT! For those of you who don`t know what this is, or have forgotten, I sometimes go on an exploring binge looking for planets I`d like to keep. During my quest however, I find planets that are nice, but are not quite up to my standard. Those planets I like to give away. The planets that will be up for grabs will be barren planets between 800-999, and U.Larges between 7000-9999. I`ll be posting when something comes up for grabs, as well as the lucky person who won them, so remember to get some borders quick after you get your Juicy Rewards, otherwise someone might be hunting you next! :D

Also, during these Rewards, you need have no fear of me retaliating against you, and I will be sitting at base pr when leaving planets up for grabs, so you will have no fleet to worry about beating. Good luck to everyone who tries to get my Juicy Rewards!

I dont think Graduals giving away planets is biased towards any group of players.

To sum up the consequences of this initiative, the effect is most notable on new guardan empires. It is very easy to start up as a guardian these days, when we get the loyalty planets for free.. I`ve seen arguments in the past that Guards have über ships, because they are hard to play. On RT this is not the case with this type of rewards, and it wouldn`t be at other servers either if people were doing this there.

Because that is the way it comes across Ned... if it was a simple warning, then one post saying something like "you should be careful and this is why..." would suffice. But flaming again and again on every thread Grad makes and saying that it is not fair that grad can do this while others were punished for similar etc... comes off a little different.

Why are we assuming that whatever Grad was doing is cheating/isn`t cheating?

That`s up to the admins to decide, I think it`s fair enough that we at least give gradual the common courtesy to inform him to be careful with what he`s doing. Looks like grad listened to our advice, which was purely his choice and something that I think was the smart choice. Way to over-react people...

I don`t know what else to say, Grad is doing a generous thing for the game and for other players... where you got in trouble for pulling something shady and questionable. Yes some rules are up for interpretation, as are laws, it`s just the way things work. Similar actions can be right or wrong under different circumstances.

hmmm... pehaps i should start back this event again... at least i have no fedmate... i`m on my own... i don`t care who`s getting it... and i`m neutral...

wingnut... chill with it ok? i believe whoever want to host Juicy Rewards must be fair and sincere... to be honest, whoever`s going to do this event should be on their own without any fed... so no one can claim it`s not fair... too bad for GradualIncline that he was in a fed earlier...

i support whoever is going to do Juicy Rewards in SFGC as long they`re fair and sincere... they must announce in the beginnings what are in the offering and who won it... the clarity and transparancy must be there...

so this rule that is up to the discretion of staff to interpret says that it is ok to leave your fed so that fed mates can steal nice planets from you, but you cannot leave your own fed so that you can attack an inactive fedmate... that just makes 0 sense to me...

I am not saying that you cheated or trying to make you look bad by any means, just trying to explain why gradual`s actions should be allowed and why you might have been punished.

All I am trying to point out is that the two situations are entirely different. In fact the intentions are the opposite. Gradual left his fed so that everyone would have an equal chance at getting his planets. You left your fed to stop enemies from getting a fed mate`s clusters and to take them for yourself.

I`m not raising a ruckus just to be a jerk, I just see it as a total double standard. I am all for everyone having a good time, I just don`t like having been punished for something that is nearly identical to something else that is widely overlooked. Not only is it unfair, it makes me suspicious about what other things are being overlooked. Staff in this game are, for the most part, all part of the same alliance, and although I totally respect the work that they do (i have been one myself), I hope that this work is done with the community as a whole in mind, and not just the members of that particular alliance.

also, hb... your initial statement makes me look like a planet trader, when in fact that was not the case at all. I am the person who stole his clusters and everyone on the server knew as well as I did that he had been asleep all night. No need to besmirch my character :)

wing, I could try to explain it, but frankly it`s too late in the day and you`re raising a big stink because I`m giving away planets server wide as opposed to joining a fed of your enemies so that they can`t have any chance at all of winning any planets.

You think my allies want me giving away planets to whomever attacks me first? No, there are more of you than them, and as you yourself proved, you`re just as likely or more so to get yourself these planets.

You and ned stop raising a stink, and come after my Rewards, I don`t care who wins them. I`m my own fed, and I`m not battle arranging or planet trading, I`m finding, then giving away regardless of who they are, friend, foe, or neither.

If you have a problem with the staff, pm them, if you have a problem with me, pm me, just stop creating a ruckus, especially when you`re the one who got something this time. Leave my Juicy Rewards in peace! Now I`m going to bed before I fall asleep in my chair again, then I`m going planet hunting again when I get up. Good Night.

Wingnut, in my opinion it is because you left your fed so that a fed mate could steal a cluster(s), to avoid enemies from stealing them. Gradual is doing a publicly announced giveaway, leaving his fed so that anyone and everyone can have a chance at winning prizes. It is an entirely different situation for entirely different reasons.

Did you also not notice that no ex fed mate attacked him for these barrens... even though he was sitting out of dp for over a half hour? He obviously did not leave the fed just so a fed mate could attack him and steal the prize.

Please stop trying to ruin something that could be fun for everyone by complaining about something that is in the past and has nothing to do with this. If you really think this is cheating then do post it in the HC or contact a staff member.

backstab and giving rewards is totally different...like 1 is devil, another 1 is angel....:)

however, personally, i dun like tis kind of event too, gradu....my concept is, if anyone wan 900 land barren, explore themself, dun depend on u to give out to those lazy guy...
