Well, I`ll be giving away planets once again on RT! For those of you who don`t know what this is, or have forgotten, I sometimes go on an exploring binge looking for planets I`d like to keep. During my quest however, I find planets that are nice, but are not quite up to my standard. Those planets I like to give away. The planets that will be up for grabs will be barren planets between 800-999, and U.Larges between 7000-9999. I`ll be posting when something comes up for grabs, as well as the lucky person who won them, so remember to get some borders quick after you get your Juicy Rewards, otherwise someone might be hunting you next! :D

Also, during these Rewards, you need have no fear of me retaliating against you, and I will be sitting at base pr when leaving planets up for grabs, so you will have no fleet to worry about beating. Good luck to everyone who tries to get my Juicy Rewards!

As for if it`s right or wrong, I frankly don`t care anymore. I`m not targetting anyone with these, and if I get suspended for it, I`ll take it as a sign from the staff to stop, and won`t be angry at them. I would hope people would know what kind of player I`m like since I`ve been here since 03, and know that I don`t mean to break the rules, or unbalance the game, I just like doing a kind deed for my fellow gamers, sort of like when I did the reg prizes quiz game way back, not that I did it for very long, since the questions were way too easy. I even gave out minor gordos for some reasons (can`t remember now) but this is just the way I like to play. I`m not really cut-throat, or war-like...I like to help others and give gifts. I`m not a staff person, and I can`t help run events, or liven things up as an NPC, so I do what I can, when I can to give people some excitement beyond the normal bloody warfare. I probably had more to say, but I forgot it, because....

Congratulations AngealNephilim!

Set 5 up for grabs. Man, I only got one set before I got my first C1, I`ve only gotten one 1k+ barren since then.

3 barren 800+

perhaps you`re right on certain aspects PistolPete... but we must remember that it`s lonely when you`re the only one on top... lol...

how strong could a race be the strongest in this game? i know what ships Guardians could have... i know there are times i do envy the capability of Viral`s ships to catch another ships... but i`m still a terran coz there are still advantages of being a terran compared to other races...

in the latest DM i`ve played Marauder and it`s kinda nice with some ships that don`t need much minerals to be built... but being a Marauder, i can`t explore with much desire...

i accept the valid reasons why some of us concerned about balancing in SFGC... too bad Stephen no longer interest to push this game further... but that doesn`t mean we can`t venture on our own to make this game more interesting... as long it`s legal, why not eh?

i hope everyone is taking this with open mind... in RL we do need some incentives to motivate ourselves... it`s the same thing when we`re playing games... certain games will have extra incentives to make us play more than the rest...

since the incentives are lacking in SFGC, i hope some the normal players will spice things up as long it`s legal... for the love of this game, we have to start somewhere...

until the URL is dead, let`s play... :)
P PistolPete
My concern is not about giving new players shortcuts. Its about balancing how powerfull the different races are.
V VALJA
PistolPete... i always have a great respect to all players that at least stay around playing this game for more than 6 months... these players know what this game is all about IF they at least stay longer than 3 months...

but we must admit that it is not easy to attract new players to stay longer when they can`t see beyond the first few hurdles or obstacles in this game...

when i started the same event it was purposely to avoid being enslaved... the concept is simple... i will be attacked by others to get those juicy planets b4 anyone can enslave me... somehow it worked with less time for me to break free frm enslavement... in a way, i hope some can see there is an alternative to avoid enslavement... which we all know that there are others who are frustrated in silence but never dare to be as "loud" as me when it comes to enslavement...

after awhile... it was fun for me to provide those juicy planets but without any loyalty even when few guardians asked for it... i stopped the event when one fed used fed-war against me to get extra advantage over those rewards...

and now... GradualIncline is doing it just to spice things up in this mundane game... in a way, Juicy Rewards event could be a short-cut to new players to play catch up with older empires... please remember, other game`s developers are doing it to attract new and old players to play their games... rewards and incentives are important to motivate players... these are seriously lacking in SFGC nowadays...

some of us who have been around long in SFGC must admit that it might not be fair to give short-cuts to new players BUT new players will feel it`s not fair too that they can`t fight at the same level with the older players... it`s all about give and take among each others...

we love this game... but why must pride and ego be in the way for the game to progress when other games which started later than SFGC are way much higher level compared to SFGC now?

think about it..
P PistolPete
Empire age says little about a player.. I`ve seen people that are only a few months old, but way better than people who has played the game since 03. By posting your empire age, I am telling you why I called you a young empire. I dont consider this an offence!

Neither am I trying to enforce any rules - as the rules are complied. I am trying to explain why I think these planet give aways are not good for the game.

My points were:

If you ask for a specific planet and afterwards gets it from grad - then it will look suspicious even it was just a joke..

Secondly i dont think it should be this easy to make a guard empire, as they have very good ships, because they are supposed to be hard to play.
D DrKsTGuArDiAn
"Points a second time to my previous reply". Sry for being off topic grad as this will be my last post on the matter. Sry you so suspicious Pete as I am and always have been an advocater of the rules and will continue to be, also I would never stoop to copying and pasting another players empire stats in regards to belittling them. I retired my old account before you came on the scene. And if you were really wanting to enforce the rules here you should send a private pm bud.

Grad is doing a fine thing and I see nothing wrong with it. Once again grad sry for being off topic.
G GradualInclineOP
PistolPete, I already said, I won`t be giving away any loyalty planets until I`ve almost got my C2 again, and I can`t explore as many planets at once. Thus far I only have a C1 and one 1k+ barren, so it`s a ways away yet. That I`ve even given away a U.Large already is a surprise to me, I didn`t really expect to.
P PistolPete
Well.. all you empires that I could find are quite young.

drksTGuArDiAn Guardian 32 172,888 (4 day(s))
drkstGuaArDiAn Terran 1 1,000 (34 day(s))

So what do I know...

You see the situation that you are making by making this joke. If Grad makes a loyalty U.large anytime near, and you get it, it would look very suspicious to me.
G grantweep
on a more serious note, are there even any guards on RT that don`t have at least 2500 loyalty? :P, I think we should enable triacone use again...;)
D DrKsTGuArDiAn
Lmao @ Pete, in English vernacular this was ment as a joke, thus the mentioning of food in an illustrative way.
I would never suggest anything on a serious note related to battle arranging.

FYI the account may be young but the player isn`t );D
P PistolPete
Young guardian empires ordering max loyalty u.larges in this thread.. sigh. This is not how this game should be imo.
D DrKsTGuArDiAn
I would like to have a #2 combo with a coke U.large size with a side of max loyalty please, oh and an Apple pie if their still 2 for 1 );D

Congratulations Hiddendragon! About time. I had long enough to get over 2k loyalty on one of the planets I`m keeping, and long enough for the pop on the U.Large to reach high enough for all the land to be used. 42 minutes sitting out, man I`m going to sleep.

thus far I have not touched the loyalty on the planets I`ve been giving away, later I might, once exploring is more difficult and expensive, but right now it`s not worth the effort.

Freelancer, you didn`t get anything, because I hadn`t posted anything up, I hadn`t found three give-away planets in a row before popping out of dp. If I don`t post, you aren`t going to be getting Juicy Rewards, you`ll just be getting borders.
H HoneyBucket{HH}
That`s a legitimate concern Pete, thank you for stating it so clearly. I am not entirely sure, but I do not think that all of grad`s giveaways have max loyalty or anything above the normal 50. I think it is just once in a while when he gives away max loyalty anything.
