A Thread for the Vets

This is a story all about how my life got flip-turned upside down,
And I`d like to take a minute just sit stop there dead,
I`ll tell you how I got addicted to a game called Spacefed.

*Instrumental*

On a small Oceanic planet, born and raised,
In the ship yard is where I spent most of my days,
Watching my Father fixing lots of old ships,
Trying to think of a way that I could get away fom it,
When a small ancient ship, that was broke pretty good,
Started causing concern in the neighbourhood,
It was ugly and with threats from the Police on the phone,
I decided I would fix it up and make it my own.

I worked and toiled on it, it wouldn`t fix,
I cried so hard, my head was in a mix,
I`d tried everything from making the engine less unslightly,
To getting on my knees and asking it politely.

It started, in my suprise, yeah, I sharted,
But I couldn`t use the bathroom until my brother departed,
So I turned on the computer, tryin` to get my head somewhere else,
Need a link, a game, anything, tips on sexual health?

I stumbled across one and to my great satisfaction,
The thing I had found required no physical action,

"Henceforth!" I proclaimed as all sanity left me,
Dignity gone, room smelling smelly,
"I shall spend all time playing `Spacefed` until my self esteem comes back!"
Here I am, five years later, still smoking Spacecrack...

I`m Chris not to be confused with Loof, Hippie or the 300 other Chris` that have an account on this game.

i started playing after the day after i graduated from high school in 2004. done some stuff for a while started college in 2006, change my course of study X amount of times. finally stuck with one an got a degree in Fine arts last May. Found out i got published in a local magazine recently via competition i won. I`m going back to the community college for a semester til i get all the financial stuff fixed so i can move on to a Uni from there i`ll be getting a BA in Fine Arts or art education, and after that either an MA or that dream job working at the Mickey D`s like all the other college grads.

Hmmm, Drac doesn`t look like there are many vets left to talk in here, eh? hahaha. Of course the only time I`ve signed on in over 4 years I should post something on the forum. :-)

And the funny thing is. Under normal circumstances I would care. But I dropped and didn`t rebuild because I got tired of sitting at 25 mil PR, as I had been doing for 3 weeks, because none of you guys build and higher than 8 mil PR.

PistolPete, if I remember correctly, you were hanging out at 19 mil Pr with 1500 turns worth of ships just under a week ago. What happened? ^^

Originally started GC in Snoopy`s "Star Base Guards" federation under a different name I will not disclose. Previous member of the UTC and later the UTU. Founder of the retired "Terra Galactica" federation on Normal and part-time leader of the Essence of Chaos on Fast. My main goal here is to make GC life miserable for the Edens :P

In real life I`m a university student working towards a biology major. It`s not that exciting, but I like it.

I`ve been playing since I started.

In real life I`m an IT guy for a large company, I do a lot of driving across the state from branch to branch maintaining their PC`s / printers / etc... When I`m in office I use my laptop to steal Internet from the Dentist we rent the second floor of the building to and play spacefed.

I love long walks across my apartment to get more soda, and sitting under the pale glow of my 24 inch 1920 x 1050 LCD monitor for hours on end.

I`m comfortable enough with myself to sit around in my boxers when owning on video games.

Looking for LONG TERM committed relationship with someone with similar interests.

I`ve been playing GC pretty consistently since I started, although I took 5 months off a few years ago when I was living in New Zealand.

Since then I`ve been going to school for Engineering & Management and working summers doing masonry to pay the bills. I`ve been relatively inactive lately as I`ve been backpacking in Europe since June (Germany, Denmark, Sweden, France, Switzerland, Italy and last stop Amsterdam >.< )

I`m getting home around August 10th and I`ll be starting my 3rd year of Uni.

My RL friend (Solusar) got me to play this game back in the day. I took a few years off from GC, but am now back (on normal and ultra servers). I have no idea if anyone remembers me lol.

Right now, I am about to enter my first semester of grad school (yay, more school >.<)

I started playing when my friend chris, aka kinghippie (hippie2point0) got me to join, and be a part of tempest.

I`ve been working a lot of worthless dead end jobs, that hardly pay the bills, then decided I was going to join the Marines.

I leave for basic training in december.

Also, I joined the Air Force and can`t really talk about what I do cuz it`s all classified, just that I do Intel work. ;)

Anyways, took a break from the game and completely left Ultra and Fast servers and will never return there since my work no longer allows me to log onto the internet every 24 or even 48 hours.
