Shoulda stayed in bed

Y`know...having the day end with getting my as* kicked by Angst was truly symbolic. I was harried, harassed and running late all day.

Come noon, I was somewhat rushed so I dropped by a deli as I was headed back to the home office to work up a file before an afternoon meeting. I ignored the proclamation loudly written saying "Best food in town!". I was hungry and it was convenient. Good thing I didn`t raise my hopes in reliance on the proclamations of how the land ahead lay.

After scanning the offerings, I selected something that was passed off as a chicken salad sandwich.

Now, I doubt that even the great Sherlock Holmes would have been able to locate the chicken in that sandwich. Trust me, the chicken escaped with its life in the makings of that sandwich. The green lumps were passed off as celery (no doubt the "salad" part). It was all held together by a white paste the menu termed "mayonnaise" giving it the overall look of something someone had already masticated.

Basically, not only prepared, but pre-chewed as well.

Cost me $4.50. And to think my father always preached to me not to waste money.

And who`d have figured Angst would have those frippin` Illite Frigates as his second stack.... sigh
