Well I hate to be the oddball but I disagree HB. Mainly because you are essentially missing out on everything when you VM, no turns no market no arties. You have to be in it atleast three days, and six if your avoiding a counter or two.
So really I see it as they have to sit around for a week twiddling their thumbs while you make money, climb, and generally have a good time. If someone went into VM for six days to avoid my counter I would consider that a success since they dont play for a week and I do.
Obviously they are avoiding you because you are above them so it isn`t like they have some great position they want to hold. If anything I assume you guys really don`t like it when they are protecting CLUSTERS!
I can understand the frustration of getting someones boarders down then them VMing to avoid that counter that you knew would take their goodies. But so what? That gives you a few days to organize an attack when he comes out next.
Truly the only thing I think is lame is that people can VM for a week build then VM again. If you intend to VM again when your VM expires you should have to do so within the first 2 hours of it expiring else wait 72 hours or so.
And LtCommander as for that sometimes communication with admins can take time and if something happens suddenly and you really needed to VM right then it could cause problems. It is good that we have the button around if we need it.
And Squaks they do have to wait 24 hours after hitting someone to hit the VM so someone does get a chance to take those boarders again.
