lol, funny post. I think its just plain silly to judge people on how long they have played, well after the first few months anyway. So does that mean an 03 player will forever be better then an 05 player? how about ten years from now? lol.
The funniest thing about this post is the supposed vet is who? lol. I have fought with/against 99 percent of the people that replied to this post. But i have never seen poseidon in the ranks before, well above the newbie hunting ranks anyway... Must be where you got those impressive stats eh?
I have only been playing for about 4 years so looks like i am the newbie for never seeing you in the ranks. :P

Funny thing is. Some people can play this games for years, and yet they act like n00bs all the time. others will learn how the game works in a few months, or even less.

well the only thing about ancients .... they don`t have the first hand exp of each race hehe i`ve played all for a decent amount time...collective for only a bit of time way back when there was tons of newbies to make u rich hehe

your level of advancement can`t be judged by yourself...it`s a title bestowed upon you by others because that title is only used by others to categories you. you are yourself, and you`re playing level is yourself also. there are no clear cut ways in which to measure ones abilities there are far to many variables from hour to hour much less from day to day for a proper behindysis. the only thing that can place you in one of those neat "cookie cutter" categories is by believe what others tell you that you are....if you believe it then you will never transcend beyond that because you will have little reason too.

so don`t fall prey to false titles, forge your own path and take destiny and cast it into the bowels of sea of oblivion and let it wonder what it`s on fate is.

And if you`ve played from 03 and are still the same race you`re an ancient, not just an elder, and should be considered a newb in all races but your own, assuming you aren`t playing the other races on different servers.

Of course, if you`re like me, a non-fighter, then you should be considered a perma-newb, until otherwise informed. Though I might be changing out of that category soon, once school is done.

HB i agree with your views.. it doesnt take 4 years for a person to become epic.. but the thing is.. when you train someone to be good.. they tend to loose their qualities after sometime... and regain them after playing hard core for a year or so .... So it goes both ways..

lmao travv.... well most people do have a problem with people similar to their self. They see their own weaknesses and annoying behaviors in others and it bothers them, because it is not until they see it in others that they see just how bad their own traits our. Something like that anyways.

Just like when parents get pissed at their kids because they see their own faults in the actions of their children.

Empowered, I recall you coming aboard closer to `05/`06. I remember this specifically, because you were perhaps THE most obnoxious newbtard to date at the time. You`ve always been the type that`s bark is roughly 15x the size of the bite. So I don`t really know what you are going on about. (Admittedly, you seem to have matured a wee bit since then.)

Well stats don`t tell the whole story. Some have got a ton of losses hitting uw`s and whatnot, which don`t really count as a legitimate loss as far as I am concerned. Others have got a ton of wins sitting in np with 1 planet attacking every n00b in sight with the same ship over and over again. So yeah stats can be misleading.
