As far as the researchers within the Devotee`s of Aacra have been able to determine, the blinky is controlled by a higher intelligence* then our own. To keep the blinky satisfied we must sacrifice the required allotment of food, which has been purchased from the market at a satisfactory price, there by filling the coffers of the almighty Aacra. Our research goes on to show that the Mighty Aacra does not actually control the blinky, as originally through by our leaders, which means there is another power responsible. To this date our research has not found the source of the blinky`s power, but the search is ongoing. Soon we will unlock it`s secrets! Then the Devotee`s of Aacra will control the blinky, and wield unimaginable power over all other empires within Space Fed! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Speaking as an individual, I have noticed that my blinky is almost never satisfied with my services, and almost never blinks when a message from those lesser** empires arrives.
* Higher intelligence doesn`t mean a deity, but a mind greater then that of the speaker.
** Lesser in the sense that they have not yet found the glory of all that is Aacra.
