Fuzzy`s UW, Normal

Yes the fact that you don`t even have to be around for the UW at all is ridiculous. If you don`t have time to be around to end the UW, you shouldn`t be able to start a UW and have any chance at all of success. This is not how the game should be played. It further shows that all these UW`s are not all that much of an accomplishment, but just evidence as to how sad the servers truly are. And not having the time was not the case with Urban`s uw on ultra... unless he didn`t have time for several days to stop in and press the button.

And nobody is trying to dictate anything, just simply asking for your cooperation in improving the conditions of our poor dying turn based servers.

Diel, I am not presuming to dictate how you play. There is a game imbalance, I am asking that we address it for the sake of the game.

My guess is they want to drag their success out for as long as they can. Plus prove that they can not only do a 48 hour UW but so much more. Aren`t we all very much impressed, I know I am.

and the neverending uw is still...not ending.

i`ll ask the question: if you guys are so (rightfully) proud of your uw`s, why can`t you be bothered to show up to see them succeed, or to set them off? us mere mortals in the low ranks would appreciate the opportunity to start rebuilding.

think of all the arties that we use to pull of the UW in the first place. The arti package compensation isn`t even on a 1:1 replacement for those we use. quite frankly i don`t think that I will ever reach the awesomeness of my tax viral on normal, even with my aminer. Getting 200k land is hard.

In the short run you are weaker yes, but you have a chance to grow back faster thanks to the planet\arti boost early on. And for those that UW with races that can carry ships over it makes them stronger in the long run. Plus as we have seen people setting UW`s off with empires around 40-200 days old on turn based servers... they are not losing all that much strength.

doesn`t make it less true Knosses. that is exactly what`s happening when someone UWs.

Not to downplay your accomplishments or skill grant, but having to weaken yourself for the rest of the servers sake sounds more like arrogance than logic.

HB: I got side tracked arguing with Altreides - point is: you can`t explain to me how blowing up a 200k land tax viral and then receiving a 10k planet makes my empire STRONGER. When I successfully UW, I am giving the server a chance to catch up while I make a new empire, why can`t people understand this?

on fast: I had 33 infra research on my miner with about 5-7mil income. If I didn`t blow up my empire - in 3 months: I woulda had something like double my infra, which means that I woulda made a hell of a lot more money - WAY more money than my marauder currently makes, which means that I woulda been able to afford battle a lot more. Once again, by UWing...I WEAKENED myself in order to give the rest of the server a chance to catch up while I rebuilt my empire.
