Please Change Tribute Reserve!

I`d prefer that a slaver in VM doesn`t collect tribute, but still retains his PR.

As for the players abusing VM... you should realize by now that there exists more than one server. Pretty easy, if you`re up to abusing VM, to stop playing one server and still have fun on the rest.

i would just like to point out to the "true" slavers that you can reward your slaves while you are in VM.

anyway, it makes me wonder... IF those players who might abuse the VM are the same players who are multiing at the same time? they can keep one empire in VM and play actively in another empire... sorry for the accusation BUT please don`t feel offended IF you`re not doing it... :)

as for 10x rule, it`s need a major overhaul for a change... an enslaver who stay above 100 mill is "technically" impossible to break free by one`s self... even at 10 mill PR, slaves are going to waste their time and turns to break free with the 10x rules...

hopefully with Stephen`s new interest in the game for 2010, something is going to happen for the better... hopefully........

let me show you an example... empire Enslavia is having 10 mill PR and having few slaves under him... IF he wanted to enter VM, for whatever reason, he will immediately enter below 5K PR or perhaps 2k PR to differentiate between being suspended or still haven`t logged in after UW...

so... IF he`s sincere, he will only lose the slaves that don`t wish to be under him... the slaves that "love" him so much can still send tribute and wait until he comes back... all the ships he`s having are still there and perhaps the reinforcement ships too...

so when he`s back frm VM, he will immediately go back to 10 mill PR except losing the reinforcement ships and the escaped slaves... he`s still having slaves that are still loyal to him... he can still enslave the ones escaped when he plays again...

by this, VM abuse can be avoided (hopefully) as for players who think they can enslave others and stay high and stay in VM... this is good too for players who think by staying in VM at high PR can maintain their ranks while hiding in VM... i`m not sure the planets holding should be excluded or only PR should be excluded during VM...

at the end, players who sincerely want to stay in VM don`t care about their ranks and tribute... so it`s for players who really need it... not abusers...

Pax, just sit low for a few days and collect cash, then you can play high PR

its not that hard to get out of being enslaved especially from pax who sit rather low in pr, slaving is not really a major source of income, explore some planets and build an empire the rest of us

If a slaver is in VM it should be a 100 to 101 match in PR to get free.

If a legitmate slaver really needs to bo into VM they will have to rebuild their slave business if their slaves notice and get free.

Sadly many slavers I see use VM to sit back and build credits while protecting their empire from attack.

Erp I suppose you were just talking about the power rating issue. The trouble with VM is there is no way to know who is using it legitimately, and you can just renew it without leaving protection. Basically I agree with {PaxRomana} in that slaving is flawed overall. My main issue with it is the grossly unreasonable 10x power that is needed for independence.

While I don`t like slavers I don`t want them all killed. Even if slaves are you only income whay is to stop you from withdrawing funds more often?

I assume you are trying to hide your stash from UW`s by not withdrawing it. Raising the tribute reserve limit would help that plan, but is not in the spirit of the game.

VALJA, if you put them under 5k they can`t be attacked after their VM is over. Also, do you really want to penalize the slavers who legitimately need to VM?

Then withdraw from your reserve more often. There`s absolutely no reason to increase the reserve, so stop whining. :P

others might proposed b4 and i might re-propose it again... to avoid VM being abused, let the empires in VM to be put under 5k of PR regardless the PR b4 they enter the VM... when they`re out of VM, it will revert back to the original PR...

let VM only for players that can`t play genuinely for a certain period of time... not for abusers...
