i think Raistilin is correct lol... How i wish one of the turn based server can be closed and converted to a perm dm server or something lol

i did a few dm`s. they were great fun. It wasn`t till dm`s started to mess with the games turn * it`d go back to 20 / 30 turns instead of 30 / 45 * and people were raising cane, that they mostly stopped. No admin wanted to run a dm when all`s they got were pm`s about how they were ruining the game :P but yeah, they were great fun.

One of my greatest regrets in this game is never having the time to try a DM.. :(

Heh, AGM, you are wrong. I remember one 3 hour DM where I played marauder and was alone in the fed. I had like 117 wins and 4 losses for the whole duration rofl(3 hours or something). That was a long time ago thou.

cause people could plunder the C3 then explore forever. now if you made it an X class C3 that would be pretty cool :)

why not make it c3 then so that you don`t have to manually disable exploration?

What most people forget about dm`s are they were actually pretty rubbish and generally included much less fighting than was expected for the majority of the time.

Really to do it well you would have to have everyone start with all ship research and say 30 of chosen infra + a standard cluster 2 max borders and fair amount of cash and minerals. This set up with exploration disabled and last man standing or highest planet count/wins at set time would probably make for much more fun.
