Meh. And its also fun =P

He is seeing two different view points. Personally, I can`t stand the commerce income stream, because it shouldn`t even exist. ^^; Every other income stream interacts with the rest of the game, yet there is one that lets you be more or less completely isolated. It`s silly, and foolish. :P

I thought we already answered him, and a good arguement is good for ones mind.
M Maraudian
how about you help the guy rather than argue like sissy girls

comercial is the simplest best infra path recomended for any new player as a terran
suggesting they follow the missions for terran which is a nice tutorial will also run along these lines and always has.

be tax slightly better or not, it is a more complex and unapealing choice for a new player

That is my point. It is a rather rare occasion when food drops that low... typical standards are around 7 or 8 per unit. Double commerce. ^^; Not to mention the invulnerability to enslavement part of being agriculture... that is a bonus as well... there are only a handful of things GOOD about commerce, really. You don`t have to pay attention to your resources, so it is brutally easy, and it is a bit more obvious exactly how much you make per turn... you don`t have to "calculate" your income by multiplying your food produced by the food price you are selling at. ^^;

Seriously, n00bs do fine with industry, which is a harder economic system that commerce... there, you actually have to buy raw material.

Though if food is as low as 4 it generally means its not selling to well, so agri still isnt to great a thing to be that that time.
420Renegade Admin
I believe agri is 4$ per unit and above for more than comm..I may be mistaken
D Deiloche
Ehh... by "decent price" do you mean 4 per unit? ^^;

Dont eff with me biatch ! I didnt say commerce was more profitable either. I simply suggest commerce to newer players because in my expierence loads of newbs screw there empires up attempting agri before they fully know how to play. THeres only two types of terran you can play, commerce and agri, nothing else is worth it. So your saying agri is more profitable, and if food is at a decent price, than it is. But tooo many newbs screwup trying agri. so tis best to reccomend comm first.
D Deiloche
I freely admitted that commerce is EASIER. But you are outright lying and part of the epidemic in this game if you support the false concept that commerce is the BEST income stream. As you would see if you opened your eyes, I did NOT say what the best income stream was... that was up to him to ASK if he wanted to know. So... quite frankly... stfu, n00b. :D
420Renegade Admin
Dood. Newbs get owned with Agri. More profitable yea, but ive seen way to many nubs screw up empires trying agri. so shut yer yap and get back to whatever it is yer doin..*slaps deil*
D Deiloche
NO!!!! HE LIES!!!

I`m serious, too. About the first part, anyway. The part about ore is correct.

But commerce is NOT - I repeat, it is NOT - the best income stream for terran. However, it IS the easiest... if you like taking things the easy way, then do that. :P

As a terran your best way to make money is to build commercial buildings on your planets and research commercial infrastructure, and just use turns. The more buildings and infra you have the more money you will get each time you use a turn.

An easy way for a new terran like yourself to make a bit of money is to explore for a few planets, build some mining on them, and use turns. This will mine the ore off the planet, and when you get a bit of ore, you can sell it on the market. Once the planet has no ore its generally best to plunder it. Ore sells very well.
