Exules right on `nearly` impossible...If you can gain the leaders trust and for some reason the leader has to leave you could be made leader...But not-to likely an event.

Anabolik`ing was made nearly impossible by the disabling of fed elections. People used to join a fed, get lots of planets, and then vote them self as leader and kick everyone before disbanding the fed.
well yo spy on a fed you just apply then browse its details , as for taking them down the only way ids force nowadays , you cant overun a fed due to the vote feature being disabled pending repair
