what are good times for digging for rare/uncommin artifacts?

you mean people haven`t memorized this stuff by now?
BONES; If you use Firefox or can use Firefox, download Anfit`s mod. (http://mmanir.sytes.net/gc/). It will make Artifact creating in the capsule lab easier, give you the exact recipes for your inventory practically making them for you, and also tell you what each arti is good for.

I think there are even 8 land oceanics, but I could be wrong. I don`t know what each race should prefer, I`ve heard that it should depend on the race though. I tend to go with the U.Spazial though, since you don`t have to worry about clustering it, unlike the oceanic
Oh, and BONES, most of those are fairly useless on their own, I`d dig some more, especially during the peak dig times, so that you can get enough to put together some fairly useful artifacts, such as minor gordos.

Now that we are at the subject digging. Which planets should the different races choose to dig from. I know most people prefers 2land. U.spazials - but i also heard that some prefer 10 lans oceanics?
there is no Special dig time, you have to combine rare artifacts in the capsule lab to create higher level artifacts.
The Levels of artifacs are
Common
Uncommon
Rare
Unique
Special
You can only dig up to rare artifacts, everything higher (Unique/Special) require the capsule lab, or Stephen giving away some artifacts due to some special RL event, which hasn`t happened in recent memory.
