Again its strategy just hoping someone like VALJA or an aminer comes around and buys out the food market for us because if they don`t... OOPS i just invested my ENTIRE bank account on cheaper food!!! So you think we are making oogles of money but i lose tens of billions in unsold food gambling. I`ll tell you something tho... nobody would be coming around buying out the market after a UW!!! all these guys have reached MAX everything, minerals cash, etc. I think its time they start re investing. Yeah EE, 10 stacking.... sure implement that 10 stack rule on round 6.... as for now 6 stacks is hard enough.... its to someones advantage to build 10 stacks so when they attack they may even have 6 left over. 10 stack always rule would be great if i could say RE ships!!!! I can`t! I have some pretty sweet ships too, so i`d rather focus on building ships that work!

EVENT FED LEADERS yes should have enough skill or represent enough pride for the their race to have 7+ stacks when 6 are required. But tis shouldn`t be mandatory.

Economy is a very key part of warfare. That being said the amount of infra research needed to make some empires self sufficient is quite absurd and will only be obtained by extremely old empires

hmmmm... since my name is being mentioned, all i can say... the idea of a self-sufficient empire that won`t depend 100% on the market should be considered... sometimes, economy can be considered a weapon in a war... look at the history of WW1 & WW2 or even during Cold War... even nowadays, there are economy sanctions on certain part of the worlds... sorry to say that empires who can survive independently might have better chances to stay alive at the end...

Secondly - how are we Maru`s meant to make money if not by selling food? There are plenty of other food producing races out there to set competitive food prices. (as you mentioned your Fed also helps bail you out as well - that means that our food bounces and we have to re-post)

I`ve spent 399 days surviving and building my empire just the same as you - this game moves in ebbs and flows - lets not talk about adjusting Races shall we?

Personally, i congratulate Opus. You say he "orchestrated" everything for his own gain... Isn`t that the point of a UW anyway? He just picked the best time to do it. If it really is his goodbye, he picked a good way to do it. /salute

All rules should be clearly posted to everyone before the event, such as point systems, leaving fed makes you void forever, rewards, ect..

well that`s just my two cents worth on it...frankly I think Maraudian is to lenient during these events, but that`s because he`s to kind. If I were over this event i`d demand every one have 10 balanced stacks at all times, and you must build balanced, no one stack at a time...and if you were caught deliberately spamming offensively or defensively X amount of times then you`d barred from the event, and if you kept trying to interfere with the event in any way then you`d be suspended until the event was over. That would make this more of a DM friendly event then huh? Aren`t we all glad I don`t get to make decisions around here? I know I am this game would probably die in a month.

Lastly I feel your aggravation sumar, i`m sure we all do, but honestly this is nothing to quit over mate. I`ll try to catch you on msn some time soon

Well first of all, there has been a lot of actions that could be deemed unethical by a lot of people thus far in the game, i`m sure we could all make our own pretty list and maybe we should as a "critique" of the event. it was a good idea Maraudian, and i do think we all appreciate the effort i know i do....a alot of the problems have to do with the rules and regulations...it`s hard to account for all scenarios for events such as these.

for me first off a stack needs to be 7 stacks or over....and npcs should always have to have 10...expecially when attacking, they have better ships so they should be made to have 10 stacks.
(i know some people whine because they can`t find 7 ships to put in their stack and they`re already using both fodders a runner and king/queen...what are they to do...i feel for you but you always have more options)

secondly i think fed leader npcs should have an online time cap at about 3-6 hours where they can`t be online for longer than that in a 24 hour period. some where in that range should be good enough, it`s not fair that some feds have more active leaders than others and it only punishes the members of the less fortunate feds...i know it still doesn`t solve the problem of those feds who`s fed leaders don`t log on for days at a time.

next, Either no fed war or find away to make universal fed war, where all those feds have fed war bonus against all other racial feds. honestly do any of us really need to do fed war hits in this event, the only thing it does it promote laziness.


UW`s during events like these, either they shouldn`t be allowed or npcs should be able to hit whom ever they please during a UW...right now as it stands leaders can`t attack UW`s but there`s no rules against NPCs being able to defend them, and there`s no way to regulate if one is defending a UW...and defending a UW is just as unfair as attacking one...you know NPCs are active so you should be prepped to deal with it.

Well his timing was very good and you can`t get mad at him for waiting for the majority of skilled fighters to be distracted(honestly I considered doing the same). If Arch is doing that I believe its wrong. Even if he was given the NPC for the event that seems like abuse.

Yes Squaks there is a difference between fed wars and multi accounts.

If I were to help one of the feds as an outside ally that is also different from what Arch is supposedly doing. It would be wrong for, say BadKarma, to make a second account and use it to help him in the event...

Opus is leaving, this is his good-bye to us... as for the timing, seriously this event was a waste of time, it wasnt meant for everyone.... section federations of into races, not the smarted idea or very origional. then the NPC leaders, wow they are so great. i would guess half of them dont know how to stack but who really needs to when you can build D class & out build most other people in minutes.... so over powering someone in time isnt a problem or stacking compared to most other races with slow build rate ships.

Oh wait this thing about those who are knocking people around with spams.... its the same old same old.... abuse of spamming will never end & is the problem of the game, its not who stacks better anymore, its who gots the better spam or bigger spam.

squaks so if you are complaining about fed wars then your in the wrong thread. fed wars are there for a reason they are cheap but its not cheating. Using an npc for gain easoer points by the event is cheating in my eyes

so its fair to have everyone vs 1 fed but not fair for that 1 fed to have outside help?
