yes he just have to unassimilate it
exactly , this confuses a good few people
s collective c3 is used as a c2 when unassimilated(located right below "plunder colony") but it only holds 16 planets.
simmilar / Assimilated Clusters can be undone for 5 turns , remember a Collective cluster will have less plannets than a usual cluster ( S.C2 = C1 , S.C3 = C2 ) and so on

i dont think so , but if theres an unassimalate command in manage colony on the right hand side then click it and find out.
