Well i`m far from active but my 6th year arround this place is comming so i thought i`d make one of these again

Anyone beside maraudian still here from 03`???
I`m not counting myself due to the fact that i`m never arround and only check the forum once in a blue moon.

I still take pride i kept bandits up all night during my UW. That was something suprising when I woke up.

Yes DM uw`s are terribly exciting, they are one of the very best parts of this game, not only being the one setting it off but partaking in defending it as a team or taking it down, these are very fun roles to play, defending i think is the most challenging and rewarding.

Fed wars are extremely boring. The only thing that they give you is slight advantage fighting which means even less thrill from the battle. If they were more developed - like having statistics, rewards after wars won/lost etc, it would be really fun. But they aren`t.

lols. Never saw the point in a UW, just doesn`t horribly interest me.

I do it because:
1) The goal of a game is to win it. If you don`t do the UW, you are no true winner in my opinion. Islander is partly right about fighting - I do enjoy it and I do enjoy making an empire battle after battle, but this is the BATTLE and finishing UW is winning the WAR. It is different.
2) If you haven`t done UW, you don`t know how much fun you are missing. Fighting and doing UWs are the two aspects of the game that keep it going.

lol - almost Deiloche. Nutsy my point is he doesn`t sacrifice his empires because he`s selfless or for the good of the game =p He does it cause it get`s his name on the winners list.

Islander the willingness to sacrifice his empire just shows how selfless he is and how he wants to help keep the game going.because yes he does sacrifice his empires which are obviously very good and well set up with lots of time spent doing it but he does it to provide every other person playing with a bit of entertainment between the events that are very far and between for those empires who arnt willing to

DM - A willingness to sacrifice your empires is what earns you UW`s. There are many a skilled player who simply doesn`t want to lose all they`ve worked for. This is why I play MMO`s - Console games that I have to start from scratch cause I beat them in a day last for a very short time.
