what i think most of you are missing is that the new lakko has almost a 1:1 weapon/power ratio now.. so before any of you even think that this ship now sucks why not try using it or try killing it when it`s not spammed

disclaimer: I personally don`t even have a stake in this....since I don`t have lakko on a terran/viral/coll/maru empire anymore. SO DONT ACCUSE ME OF BEING BIASED.

Give the empires who UWed and took lakko over to another race a chance to pick another ship, I mean honestly? suggesting that they shouldn`t otherwise....what a bitter and messed up playerbase....it`s only a handful of people that have managed to UW, show them some respect.

and enough of this `abuse`, just because you guys weren`t smart enough to figure out how to UW and how to take down a starbase UW...don`t go around disparaging the ones who have done UWs with lakkos. Most of my UWs were not easy at all. I swear..some of the people making posts here just don`t get it

Yeah i guess only time will tell how everything plays out, but we won`t be seeing any lakko uw leads for quite some time to come i would expect yup

SD: if you aren`t prepared to receive my feedback then don`t ask for it, simple as that. I`m not gonna come up with real life battle reports because I am never going to use this ship because I play TB mostly and this ship is very limited for a SB on TB. Simple as that. You wanna test the usefulness of a TB ship? You have to take turn/turn calculations into account, because all you`ve done is look at equal PR battles. There`s a reason why people spam scorpion instead of chimera and you almost never see collectives building MoW...it`s because building bases in DP with such a low build rate is down right suicide.
(btw, double spamming lakko/hoko would never work because a good cap spam on aggresive kills you still...)

rag: yes this would hurt miner UWs, but I mean...I have stated before that I really don`t have a huge motivation to UW anymore, so this doesn`t really affect me.

anyways, I`m done....most people commenting on this thread are just happy for a change, probably like the people who voted for barack obama...not realizing that even these two admins working hard can fix the imbalances of this game....

i`m also guessing that most of the votes for this new design were influenced by how many empires were abusing the old lakko. i just see this as pay back from those who were getting tired of the abuse.

only reason viral were forced to re-pick their ships was cause they were forced to have certain ships removed cause they were no longer available to be used as viral.
in my opinion only way someone that UW`d and chose lakko as reward would be allowed to pick a new ship is if ALL starbases were removed from UW reward list

UW`s who have lakko should not get to change just because the ship was redesigned. if that`s the case things are getting out of hand

I feel that people should have a choice to keep or switch out the Lakko. If it was just minor changes (no pun intended), then that`s one thing but if the ship was completely redesigned then the opportunity should be given to change out the ship for another miner ship.

I feel it would set a bad precedent if we change change a ship so fundamentally like this and let UW winners who took the ship be stuck with that ship for better or for worse.

ok, my fleet wasnt anything special, was testing lakko actually...and its gone now :)
thx sd for the input. you should have noticed that the ships that win on lakko are also the ones that are used constantly by guards or terrans. tour ruby quartz is what is see most of the times anyways, same for nirv and herc. as for saphire and livid, i rarely see these in stacks. hmm

i will wait to see the lakko in battle but i am happy about the upkeep drop of the lyth and others and the the upkeep of hokko is a bit harsh but bearable, what wont be bearable is if you give past UW winners a chance to change there prize ships. this would be a not-smart idea as when virals chose there ships and then they get updated they dont get to change them just cause they dont like the new update. these ppl mostly chose to keep the lakko so they could do cheap uws one after the other and now they have been redesigned they should be made to keep them and if they want something else then they should earn it by doing another uw if they can without there beloved lakko.

Well done staff, thanks for caring and putting in the time and thought to make this happen. Whether or not these changes will be 100% right or not will be proven over time, but I do feel it is a step in the right direction, well done.

Imo the changes look very good and has been needed for long. Looking forward to meeting the new lakko on the battlefield!

The people who UW`d and choose a ship that was changed should be able to choose a different ship, it is no different from when they did the changes on the maru ships and all virals got to re-pick all their chips, just my opinion, i really regret taking Lakko now from UW`n
