  • G.Sapphire
Buildrate will be changed from 1 => 2

  • G & D class

Marauders D class & Miners G class will be put back into there own shiplists (I.E Miner`s G class is currently under guardian to prevent capture.. While Marauders D class is under Dark Marauder to prevent capture

I have found a possible fix that in my testing appears to work well to disable capture within captureable shiplists..

Long story short this Should change nothing other then providing proper listing for these ships..

However if you do happen to capture any D/G class you are to inform Me personally via PM immediately with details as for How it happened if you are able to..

And if you are a viral and happen to capture/reverse any G/D class ships your entire shiplist will be ERASED

Didn`t start losing money until about 130 million pr :P I haven`t even started buying the money sucking Lyth`s though, that`s when it`ll really hurt being high pr :P
L Lilith
Miner make alot of money..but their stacking cost alot of money too...lol

I wouldn`t set loyalty to 1, the guardians would be....upset.

As for the dual topic, that would have to be the way you`d have do it to cheat PistolPete, I don`t know if there`s any other way to do it. It is potentially a very big problem, especially since these income updates are supposed to be designed to put more, or at least different things on the market, as opposed to making people independent.

What Terminus suggested, sans the drop in loyalty would work, though I`d increase it to say ALL infra but one housing, then you`re basically starting off with a clean slate to rebuild your empire, buildings and population wise anyway.

Maybe making it like some races, unlocked after a certain mission completed would also make it harder to get? Make it an Act 2 mission and you`ve limited it to paid only players, or those who have paid once and did the mission anyway.

I dunno, I`m just shooting out ideas at the moment.
T Terminus
An idea to prevent abuse -> after I-tech all your planets have only 1 housing infra, with pop and loyalty set to 1.
P PistolPete
Dual income is not ilegal. I kept some tax clusters that i captured at another server myself.

But if you can switch your infra, make some max infra lvl tax clusters then switch your income to food production and make some of your other clusters max infra food production, or maybe max infra goods production, this will make you independent on market without having any drawbacks. Could be very powerful.

Vampire, you never know...someone just might attack you with them, just to say they did :P *remembers the time he built 50+ million pr of light fighter drones because no one attacked him while building them.*
V VampireOfTheNight
Except for minerals... Unless we fight with T-ryu jins forever :p lol

it`s not so much to put more GC`s on the market...just trying to make industry more attractive for miners. the reason terrans industry got a boost is so that if a new player sunk a few turns into industry it wouldn`t be wasteful... theoretically speaking a terran can be even more self sufficient now than they were they could put 42 lvls into every research type and although they wouldn`t make a killing in any one area they should be able to do fairly well without ever touching the market

Peacemark, the update isn`t about balancing racial incomes as much as it is about getting more consumer goods on the market. which this does (in theory). I produce much more so when I am on I am posting them every 7 sets of turns :)
P Peacemark
like miners already can`t make plenty of money :/
V VALJA
PistolPete...
i might understand you wrongly... but is it illegal to have more than 1 income in SFGC? sorry for my ignorance (or my n0_0biness... lol) from the way you`re implying, it might be considered cheating in one form but isn`t it suppose to change too accordingly to the infras? something like building a full infras to one planet and at the end, demolish the housing to save on food or such... it can be considered as cheating since how the heck the industry or food can be produced without population... unless the population sleep and live in the factories or plantation... lol...

BadKarma...
perhaps you`re right about the part play smarter but there are others who might need to change the infras after a verrrrryyyyyyyyyyyy long time (excluding me coz i will do it for fun since i think i`ve found the best formula for my own empire...), just consider it`s a small renovation to the empire after you`ve invested quite a long time for the turns... :)

anyway, back to the main post b BrokenSwordS... so far i consider the changes are good on me as a terran... i can transfer the workforce frm industry to another branch... :)
B BadKarma
Yeah manipulating the food market would be useless if Tax miner can just switch to mining or viral switch to commercial... Options ---> restart says "made a mistake?"

Well if you make a regrettable decision in infra, then you restart, tough luck, learn to play smarter.
P PistolPete
But how can dual income be prevented with this I-tech facility? Start up as a tax empire, change theinfra with I-tech, but keep the tax clusters, and all of the sudden you got two streams of income.
R Rebanned
I would give up a % of my research level to switch between mineral, tax and cg based. main reason I`d never stuck with one empire was to change my infra between a.miner.

glad I got attached to this one :)
G GradualIncline
Well VALJA, losing all of my infra levels wouldn`t be my first choice :P I`m just stating how far I`d go to set up my empire differently infra wise than it is now, since I have those 80 levels wasting away, doing nothing.
V VALJA
GradualIncline... you might willing to lose ALL infras and start frm level one (IF i understand you correctly...) BUT some of us would rather just re-structure back accordingly OR until found the right combination that suits us OR just experiment for fun... :P

as for me, with the combination of 10/150/50/37//10... i never regret of what i`ve researched but i don`t mind to do some experiments with different kind of combinations... perhaps 10/150/55/37/5, 10/155/55/35/2, etc... lol...
G GradualIncline
It worked on GC at one point?!?! Darn, where was I? vacation?
M Maraudian
i tech isnt cheating , what im talking about is the cheating that occured back when i tech worked on GC...
G GradualIncline
VALJA, when you said

(i think we should have something like i-tech but more versatile... some of us long term players have to stick to the infras research forever... )

That is exactly my outlook. I want to change my infra, but not at the cost of my colonies (ok) and my artifact stores (large).

In fact, I`ve said it before, and I`ll say it again now, I`m willing to lose ALL of my infra, as long as I can start over at level one and research the levels the way I want to now. Having 80 levels in agriculture, (put them in when I was a young little empire who wanted to be balanced) is such a waste, as well as a lot of my other levels that don`t effect my income enough to matter.
V VALJA
errr... wait... everyone keeps saying about cheating... but why it`s categorized as cheating when you have researched the levels and all you want to do now just to change the research levels accordingly to the needs as long you`re playing the same race... it does not add extra levels along the way... IF you have maxed the infras, you can only play along 255 (+missions) and not more than that... unless there is/are cheating in another form...

now the probem is, when a player wanted to change to another race... what is the best option for not research the infras frm scratch? should the same amount carry forward, half of it or start frm zero? perhaps it`s time to consider new options in order to entice players to stick longer and experiment with another races...
