My reasoning is that only a particularly sick and demented person could imagine a universe such as ours, and only such a person has the capacity to fully understand such a monstrosity. Therefore, the person who figures it all out will inevitably be the person who dreamed up the whole thing in the first place. The only reason this person hasn`t realized he`s the one who dreamed it all up is because precisely because of that fact: he is currently asleep and his imagination is currently running wild. The moment he figures out the universe is the moment that he realizes that he`s actually dreaming. Then for a brief period he will become all powerful since you can do anything you want in your dream since its all in your head anyways.
The problem with this development is that instead of his mind running things automatically in an unconscious state, his fully conscious mind will take control of the whole dream and try to force it forward manually. However, the conscious mind doesn`t have the capacity to run a full fledged dream for very long due to obsolete hardware and limited resources, leading either to the blue screen of death or a very acute case of writer`s block.
In the former case, the person will simply die and everything ceases to exist permanently. In the latter case, the person will eventually grow weary of the dream and either wake up and go about his boring day or lapse back into unconsciousness and have a completely different (and even more twisted) dream. In this scenario, everything ceases to exist permanently, and is replaced by another everything that`s even more inexplicable.
The only way to prevent this from happening is, if you see someone in a conversation trying to figure stuff out, immediately swoop in and change the subject so something extremely superficial and meaningless (reading the tabloids about pop star scandals makes for good practice).
