Mirror Image For Digging Time

I`m with Valja- just do a 12 hour mirror of the dig times. We`ve needed it for a long time and it can`t be that hard to change it.

every week it switches 12 hours so you all can be happy?

If I could get more gordos more often, I wouldn`t worry about a paid account. I`d make enough I could make my planets better than any I could explore anyway.

well then gorodos wouldnt be worth anythign thats why people pay for them haha, cause they are too lazy to wake up haha

I read down - and saw your post. But what you suggest only works at RT. 2 dig times each day will double the amount of turns you can use digging each day at many of the TB servers.

read down pistol, I already said that if a second dig time was made both times should be halved so there isn`t a better chance of getting arties every 24 hours

Making 2 dig times each day, would mean that you can dig double amount of arties each day. Some empires may just sit for months and use all their turns digging then.

It would open up a whole new aspect of the game to a whole lot of players... I have said this b4...

right now the dig times fall almost perfectly into my work shift. Stephen is losing out on money (other people`s, I buy my paid coupons with gordos :P) because there`s no point in buying one, when I won`t be able to make them back before the coupon expires.

2pm-10pm server time = digging times
I`m 12 hours separate from server time.
My work shifts are from 4am to 10am

Stephen wants a bit more money, some dig times that I can actually dig at would be nice.

I think the original dig times were set up to try and drive traffic to the site during low traffic times. They probably just stayed those same times. Can`t imagine this is high priority

Not that I`m advocating cheating, but I`m just throwing that thought out there. Perhaps something that can be sanctioned by the admins (like anfit`s mod for example), might be worked out somehow. I mean anfit made his mod using a program called grease monkey I think that lets you customize websites on your own computer to let you do a lot of things (of course the changes are only visible to and only apply to you and anyone else that has the mod installed on fire fox).

Why not do something similar with this issue? Someone make a mod that keeps you logged in and digs for you at the appropriate time if you keep the browser open. And on every page there`s a check mark that you can tick to turn it on or off (the default would be "off" for every time you open the browser). Once the mod is made, let admins to make sure it`s kosher, then with their approval put it in the forums as a sticky and make a general announcement about it.

I`m sure Anfit *could* do it, but of late he`s been pretty busy with real life. ^^

The dig times discriminate in favor of Europeans and Asians and against people in the USA, so I would say things are already "unbalanced" in favor of those 2 demographics.

Of course a "non-Stephen" solution would be a 3rd party program to let you dig for you during the times you *should* be sleeping, but we all know the potential for abuse that would cause (and as such understandably considered cheating). >_>

Then again, if everyone used it and it was made public for everyone to use, would it *really* be considered "unfair"?

I mean unless we get stephen to add additional dig times or something similar to make it fair for all time zones, or impliment some sort of option in the game to let it dig for you while logged off, i don`t see any other option.

3:30am is my dig time, I get up now and then to dig, but its hard with other responsibilities. I wouldn`t mind a better echance at it, but I do doubt anything will change.

Slavyzz - that idea sounds better, but I still think we should leave things how they are. If you can`t get online to dig, then you`re out of luck.

with this, there should be no excuses for missing EVERY rare time :P

I was also thinking the extra artis to be had could be unbalanced. If you were to make another dig time why not cut the current one in half and make the second one equal to that. Same amount of dig time, spread out.
