i think the income update is very reasonable, but some of the ship sheild modifications are a bit extreme, but overall they are good

yup.. i think research lvl bring forward will be good enough since it takes months to reach certain lvl.. player should jus explore the colony themselves as a small price to pay for enjoying the chance to switch over to something new..

only thing i can say to that ubber is we cant compensate for Every little thing , should we give up on GC completely and refuse to update it over 100k ore an empire or such...

we could possibly give a global i tech , but ide refuse to give compensation for ore as that would have to be done manually per empire , thats insanity , and that being the case should we just not update or let the players sacrifice a few minutes of there own time to do it themselves...

i personally think its unfair to expect perfect compensation for every little thing

good point raised UberPansy, wouldn`t have thought of it myself, then again, I always keep ore on hand, just in case.

Will the itech project also switch their infrastructure though.... that is my question.
It`s one thing to keep your research, but such empires will be in a very weak position as they strip out their old infra and have to buy up ore to make new.

Itech will not be given to races that do not have reduced incomes. End of story. That is even assuming we get to use itech.

what if an established tax miner (yoshi) wants to change his ways and give back to the market (switching to cgs)

I should note the reason why I think Itech to all is even though those that have income streams being affected should get Itech, i think some other races do deserve an ITech or a transfer as ArchAngel has noted.

well, ITech would probably work for all races, though please note, if things in the economic stuff get changed then everyone should also get a chance of having an ITech.

i would also maybe suggest another Rev. Eng for viral round just incase their strategy has to change from commercial to tax .... just saying could change what ships they want.

since this thread is flaming, i`ll give an idea which is prone to framing :P

the updates is changing each race quite alot, in term of their battling and maybe even their economy.. why don give all player with an establish empire (research lvl above 150) a chance to change race and have their infra bring over.. since itech for viral is suggested.. this give player a chance to reconsider they choice of idea race to play with after all the changes..

mara can rant here since it will mean tons of more work for him :D
