Guards

Ok I notice how the admins and some guides have tested D.Maru and Kuzul and building them up high in pr, (last UW was kuzul, cause backoffs didnt kill the server) but as far as I know every race has the ability to UW BUT guards, so I was wondering why they dont have the ability, people can say oh very low upkeep for there ships and fast build rate, but i noticed there is only 1 guard on the rich list, plus what about marus with there pyth angel spams they can uw with, most guard ships get owned with missles on agg, and i notice how most big pr ships are missles so why not try a guard UW to see how "easy" it will be just experiment with it see what happens. if we find out its to over powered then ditch the idea, but i really think they should atleast TRY a UW once just to see the outcome.

I don`t really see too much of a point in trying it. Sure it might be interesting, but again it really doesn`t make much sense. I don`t think we should have NPC UW`s just because they might be fun or interesting; would like to preserve the guard identity.

I`ve actually had this conversation with moops once, I am pretty sure he would do a UW if given the chance.

Just to experience one, maybe we can have an event like with the kalzul UW, an NPC guard that lets off a UW.

That would work unless the majority of the community was against the idea.

I rather did like the idea of guardians serving a role as protectors of the galaxy. Seems rather silly to me having a name like guardian and still managing to do exactly the opposite by having a UW.

Without modification by Stephen, a guardian UW is physically impossible even via backdooring. With Maraudian`s help on the last DM, I tried. We tried every backdoor that is known as well as using the admin panel to grant research. None of it worked. It`s hardcoded into the game that guardians cannot UW, so Stephen would have to change it.

there are alot of rich guards out there i assure you, the reason you don`t see many on the rich list is due to the face that they are experienced and know that some players can`t resist the temptation of throwing some major or grand dinero`s at a guard on the rich list....make someone loose 100 bil in a day is fun, but it`s so much more fun when doing it to a guard who it could take a few weeks to get that back. thats why most guard choose to invest in food/ore/minerals.

i do agree though, a guardian UW would be interesting, but still very unlikely

Ya...right.Like either Moops or Bandits would sacrifice their HUUUUUGE clusters for one crabpy UW. GL on that lol

i wish guards good but storyline stops them from doing so..... but it could be re written (highly doubt) where they will set it off again for hopes of being an organic race again or they set it off to save the galaxy from a bigger threat but ya know.....

*Sigh* Read the race description. :P It`s a storyline thing. Has nothing to do with it being "overpowered". Guardians are the defenders of the galaxy.
