help me about terran

To increase goods, First build Agriculture for raw materials. Then build industry to convert raw materials to goods, which are in turn sold.

Also, don`t split your research between different areas. Just put 5 in housing and put the rest in either agriculuture or commericial. Trust me when I say that you`ll regret it when you get into the higher research levels. Nothing is more agonizing that having those 3 levels in mining and 120 agriculture levels and thinking "man, if i only put those 3 levels in agriculture, i would have that much more income". =P

Yes, commercial is a good way to start out if you are new and unfamiliar to the game, but i`ll tell you right now that going tax by putting all infrastructure on housing and increasing loyalty to the max to like 5000 (and researching nothing but housing) or making nothing but food (and selling it on the market) and having just enough housing to support yourself tends to be more profitable in the long run.

So again, go with commercial for now cuz you are new, but once you get the hang of the game, you`ll want to experiment with these other 2 income paths and see how you like it. Be sure to get the help of an experianced player when you decide to experiment with terran taxation.

Oh, and before you do that: explore until you get 1-2 additional goodly-sized planets and build them up as on #2 above. Then, research all the ship types, hull etc except the two techs that cost 600 and 999 turns.

When you`re done, start venturing out of NP and fighting.

What you need to do:

1. Research housing up to lvl5
2. On your planets, build just enough housing to fill the planet entirely (e.g. if one point of housing infrastructure is good for 15 populations, you need 10 for a 150-size planet).
3. Put everything else on commercial.

Food and consumer goods can be bought from the market, as Fodderman wrote.

This is probably the fastest and most efficient way to start as a Terran empire.

terran dont need goods to make money, u only need to worry about increasing ur commercial. goods will increase the money you make from commercial slightly, however u dont want to make ur own goods as it is more efficient to buy them from the market
