i`m the definition of a bad staff member, i don`t care about a lot of things, including events and gaining more income for the game, honestly it doesn`t bother me that this game has died some since it`s conception. No matter what the sad true is that i and probably some other people will be playing this game until the server crashes for good. now if other people want to join us for that ride then fine by me, i don`t stand in the way of progress and i only aid when i feel like it.

BW is much more passionate and nice person than i am, if i would have made that post i would have meant every word in the literal sense and you would have gotten no sorry for your aching feelings, but he`s not me, and he did apologize for the post. yet you continue to rant on about it instead of letting it go. There`s no more reason for this to go on. I`ve ignored this thread up til now because of my inability to care...but i feel that i must intervene now.

please allow that last post to be your last on that previous indiscretion. you`ve already gotten your point across many times. and the more you shout on about it the more your only hurting your own cause.

As for that post, yes i saw it before it was edited, i read it before it was posted up and laughed at it and encouraged him to do so. If you want to blame some one blame me for it since he asked if i thought it was to harsh.

if you don`t want to renew your paid, thats your choice and none of my concern, nor do i really care what you do with your account. nothing to do with how players tick, its just pointing out that the use of some basic common sense wouldnt go amiss in order to help the progression of the game, a suggestion if you will on how to improve the chances of getting more income into the game which i believe is what everyone wants to see happening yes?

its a good job i hated everything that moves before coming admin... , there are some perfect examples of why all ex staff are ex staff , the current staff involved exception to sol are all virgins when it comes creating a project themselves. i thank you for showing them just how some GC players tick.

im sure they are very enlightened as to why NOTHING gets done , why all the staff leave , and above all it explains why stephen gave up on us a LONG time ago.

I agree Raistlin stress is handled differently but the place to handle it isnt in public, its detrimental to the games progression and the hard work the staff are putting into the game. And the attitude that if people leave because they got their feelings hurt is exactly the wrong sort to have if you want to encourage growth of the game. Yes updates are important, yes stephens input and attention is important but customer relations and how those in positions that apparently command respect behave and communicate with players are equally as important for the growth of a business. There is absolutely no point in putting in all the hard work if your just going to ruin it all with a lack of basic common sense.

Lol naboo, I`ve been around as Owithurts since the start of the game, Badwolf`s been right here with me. He likes the game, the community and doesn`t wish for it to disappear. Now if there`s no updates, people leave. If there`s no new ideas to get people to spend money, ste doesn`t pay any attention to us. They`re working very hard, and getting stressed trying to make the game fun for the rest of us. So cut him some slack. Stress is handled differently among other people. So you got your feelings hurt because he called you scum. Boo hoo. If other people leave the game because they got called SCUM, then really they WERE timewasters.

did any of you defending it actually read it prior to editing? because it certainly doesnt sound like it? i havent once said they are not doing a good job in the updates and time they are putting in, what i am pointing out is the damage they then do to that hard work with behaviour like that, its not a hard concept to understand really its not, nor is pointing it out driving them into the dirt, its actually believe it or not an attempt to help, businesses do not generate custom by insults, unless of course your running one of those special kind of phone lines then using words like scum will probably do you quite well. As far as im aware GC is not one of those types of business so the insults really are not appropriate on the forum whether meant in jest or otherwise, just think how it looks to new players coming into the game it looks more than bad. And i will ask Raistlin if helping with the ships is detrimental to his badwolfs own happiness as you say in your post then why on earth do it? people sacrifice their happiness in jobs that support their families etc not in jobs they volunteer for or are we just being dramatic now?

He deleted it because of people like you taking something out of context, blowing it up, and then trying to deep fry him. He`s a nice guy. He`s been helping make these ships at the detriment of his own happiness and time. So when people like you take his posts and blow them out of proportion, you know whats going to happen? People who were dedicated to helping the community and trying to balance things out and trying to get more involvement from Ste are now going to stop because you guys trash talk them into the dirt. we`re all helping out the players and stephen here...what`s important from now is:
#1: constructive feedback on the updates
#2: more advertising for our game - ste?
#3: making our game a bit more friendly to new players

infact to put it in the simplest of terms things like that are known as BAD PR, bad pr loses money with old players, discourages new players and in general is bad for the game to make more money this game needs GOOD PR, bringing in more money and new players. Perhaps Stephen needs to offer his staff incentives for their time if he doesnt already if the stress is getting to them?

i agree with you intelligence is golden and posts like that BEFORE it was edited to what it is now show a complete lack of intelligence. as mara said he was pissed off when he posted it, simple, dont post on the forum when your pissed off, wait then show how witty, sarcastic, clever and what a wonderful rapport you have with your players and improve the game get more money in. incidentally if it was so harmless and funny it wouldnt have needed editing or so much defending now would it?

Dude, i love it when i`m called scum. Mara calls me worse anytime we talk. It`s great. It makes me come back and spend 5$ because i know they understand this thing called Sarcasm, oh and they know Humor. It`s great. calling players names in any context on the forums is damaging delioche and the way the post was worded prior to the editing it has now under gone it was actually worded that anyone that wanted compensation was scum but that niether here nor their my point is that name calling from staff down to players is damaging tothe game and therefore improvement of the game which is what everyone wants to see happening, all im saying is maybe if the staff are a bit stressed they think before they post, take a break, i know its not an easy job by why undo all the hard work your doing with posts like that really?

We did not say the players are scum. We said that people who wish to waste our time are scum. Huge difference.
