how boring can gc get???

i always post under 8 if price is at 8 :) other wise i lose to much when it gets returned ..

That is a lot of returned food Opus, sell it below 8 and I for one will stock up a lot more. It is like there is collusion to keep the price at 8 even with lots being returned to the sellers. Where are the antitrust busters when you need them.

plus its no fun to fight that low, I win too much =(

itd be nice if we could get more players in.
but that takes more advertising which stephen wont give us unless it makes more $.
which means we need more players.

i wish gc was morea ctive i never played it when it was real active i just know when i started playing it was more active then it is now..

It`s fine Opus. You didn`t use arties on my but Mac and TWU didn`t hesitate to do so. And the attack I failed from 2x was because AccordEx gave me wrongful info about your fleet + my fodder stack :p

The numbers of people would pick up if people were more intrerested in helping the game grow instead of sitting around like a bunch of old hags sitting in a rocking chair slowing rotting! New playrs come every day, you would be surprised all we as a community have to do is make it a little more interesting here and they stick around.

Personally, I think GC has been boring for a very long time, I miss the days when there was actually multiple pages of people out of DP at any given time *gasp*

i agree with waruiaonkashi it seems like its always the same people upin the higher powers

i stick around 1-2 million it seems like its more active down here and there`s more players too :D

i think its GC was more active when i first started in 06 now you see mostly the same ppl over and over...

Opus ,it`s not like I`m hiding.It was the same at lower PR when I got the c3. You,TWU,Mac and some more of your guys couldn`t get the cluster even though it was over 3+artiesvs1. I`ve proven that I`m not scared to fight. Could easily drop and prove that once more,but I`ve got more important doings on my mind.

I`ve got one question though,how come the game is boring Opus ? No offense but I think you`re saying that because you`re not where CC are. The ranks are dominated by them now thus you can`t build up and have your fun/rank. I find it pretty entertaining up here though :p I`m sure you didn`t say that the game was boring when you were at 600 mil PR or so..Seems more like being jealous to me.

Antithesis has had the best memory. History as I recall was, when I started in april 2004 Thunderdogs dominated the server. I think it was early 2004 DISTEMPER was created by AWESOME-O and some other people to fight the dogs, hence why this fed has a dog disease name. After AWESOME-O s UW he more or less quit and 50Cent took over distemper. We had a rather good time but eventually 50Cent couldn't play as much as he used too so gave it to me, when I took over we had 13 members 700 planets and I had 450 of them and 7 of those 13 were inactive. That was in 2005. From that time forward to 2007 distemper was the no1 and had many different allies including merlins with TBK and CC. The big alliance was with CC when HB was leader, a guy we all liked btw, (miss him). The alliance ended in 2007 but distemper had already started to lose the power, much depending on rl issueses, couldn't play as much as we used too. So since 2007 CC has been the dominating fed on gc/rt.

They have too many planets for 2mil power. Only their lowest will have stacks there :x.

Then again most of them are dedicated to their empire and won`t restart every 30-40 days on a simple whim like me :(

Stay at a reasonable power range. I normally stay 2 million power or below and I`m not bored at all :D

I preferred the Thunderdogs.

CC wasn`t formed to take the ranks from Distemper, back in 06 Distemper and Chronic Conquest held the ranks nearly uncontested hand in hand, along with Rabies until October of 2006 where a rift happened mostly due to increased aggression between CC and Rabies, that eventually resulted (they were never actually allies) so Rabies Broke away from Distemper ceasing to be their training fed and they done their own things. mean while Chronic and Distemper continued their alliance until some months after Rabies left the alliance (Feb 27 ish 2007) when i do believe Moops hit Global}{Galactica, who was the leader of distemper at the time due to Karo`s failed "good bye" UW the month previously.

So GG ended the alliance and limited fighting broke out between the two federations. Though CC clearly had the upper hand, because most of Distempers members were inactive due to a host of reasons. Then eventually the server banded together around April, headed by a lot of vets including TBK, GG (and distemper at that time), GCL, bandits, Shibumi, Macbeth`s newly formed federation at the time, and lots of other players at the time including myself. CC lost the ranks for a long time after that alliance was formed.

though that is this current incarnation of CC. i don`t think HB fromed CC to fight with distemper, since HB was pretty good friends with Distemper (to my knowledge though some distemper members could clear this up better than i since HB is hard to find these days.)

and yes of course GC is boring, was this game ever fun?
