"Well, lads and ladies, the day finally arrived. My empire has reached the venerable age of 2000 days. It`s time for a celebration! Which means going to sleep early, popping some pills to keep my bones from breaking, and finding my teeth!"
*He wheezes out a laugh that stops when he notices no one else is laughing*
Impertinate pups, why, I remember back in the day, with Tregellen, no Virals or Collectives, and when you could sell BTCs and STCs on the market. Those were the days! Why I remember....
*continues on with his ramblings for hours before realizing that he`s in the here and now*
Are there any other older Empires out there? Ones who haven`t restarted in years? Come, join in and be merry while we remember the days when these young ones hadn`t even heard of the game. Join in those empires also, that have restarted, but have been around even longer than I have. *Shakes a finger* I know some of you are still out there. Don`t make me chase you with the cane! *waves the cane threateningly*
All joking aside, it`s been a blast playing GC all of these years. I`ve had times where RL got busy, and I put my empire in long stays of vacation mode, but I could never give the game up completely. I picked up the game in high school, as I did about a dozen other games. These days I`m down to two, this one and one other, and I can`t see myself stopping any time soon. Cheers to all, and may we remember those players who made the game memorable, but are regretfully no longer playing. Cheers. *goes back to making money and getting older*
