yeah... lords are uc only
the update (fortunately) did not make us into a uc clone, so there are no lords
the gc equivalent of lords are slave masters, who upon enslave attacking you and winning, will then enslave you, and you contribute 15% of each turn`s income to your master, and your master can reward punish and free you, also protect you, but protection is only if your master has 3-4 stacks of ships in his fleet at the time, and then you have a 1/3 chance of getting them to help you, also masters can disable this altogether
