D.Class Ships

How would everyone feel about making D.Class uncapturable?

possible pros and cons

Pros: Virals would have 2 less spam ships that can quickly and cheaply be spammed to high pr, marauders would have a class of ships entirely all there own, and may lead to more diversity between virals

Cons: shiplist reset for virals (which also leads to lots of work for staff but no problem if agreed upon), virals lose 3 possible ships, and other races have hard time cause they can`t expect virals to angel or bull spam any more (would this really be bad tho?)

I dont think upkeep for Miner/terran ships needs to go down if virals can`t get D-class anymore.

Viral is supposed to be a `hard` race, but they still make lots of money...(on turnbased more than enough). Even without D-class virals will make enough money, and still have a wide range of ships to choose the nicest from....

I think dei has got a point. D.class is to easy to finance and terran and miner ships are too expensive. So if you take away the d.class because of its low upkeep, then the appropriate thing to do would be to lower the upkeep of miner and terran ships.

Virals are an incredibly rich race, Sure their income types aren`t that great, what they do have though is the race that can hoard by far the easiest, the race that has upkeep that in no way corresponds with their income amounts ( maru ships obv. )

Sure those players could do fine as other races, but some probably not as many planets or not as well because viral is a very easy race.

also i am now indifferent towards this idea cos i believe with the collective maru and gaurdian updates u are already indirectly nerfing viral as well as the increase to maru ships..... i just think now this would be overkill

Just realised
per inf per turn per unit land income orders are as follows

tax miners
min miners
cg miners
argi terrens/argi collective
tax viral
argi viral
comm terrens/argi marus
comm virals
tax gaurds

this is on very simplistic models tho eg just 50k land with 100 inf not taking planet type into account and food prices at 10

point i`m trying to make is people rave on about how rich viral are .............
there really not its just atm alot of the better players who are good at getting planets and hoarding lots of land thus providing bigger incomes are viral thus giving the impression viral is a rich race.....

Ya, Hercs aren`t going to be made uncapturable, that`s ludicrous.

On the other hand I am 100% for Virals losing the ability to RE D Class.

Maraudian cant code, he can only change the class of the ship so they cant capture...so stop with the idea of 4 re ship or what ever...

Lictor is " special " but what makes it uncapturable is because it`s G class ship. if you base it on ship "type" , as what it seems you are wanting to do, kelti, then virals wouldn`t be able to rev anything :P

either make viral only able to engineer 4 from terran and miner but not marauder or make it so d.class uncapturable.. coz the way i see it, there`s a lot of whining out there.. :P

i have nothing against virals juz that they are inconsistent with the ships that they rev engineer.. lol.. well maybe a few.. lol..

uhm since livid and licitor were mentioned here.. licitor is a special and so is herc so perhaps herc should also be made uncapturable??

This would be a positive move towards balancing Viral.
Take P class away while you are at it :p
