Okay Mr. "Andrew" if that is you real name...

Firstly create an account, next as a new terran you will want to go to the "research" menu and reserach every single thing under "research tree". Mind you this is not actually a tree at all and will not require water or sunlight for the duration of your playing period.

Next you will make a decision about your infrastructure research choice, the options for infrastructure research is directly above the research tree (remember it isnt ACTUALLY a tree).

If you want to sell something on the market and have a little more potential to your income click on and research levels of agriculture. If you want money immediately and like having a positive income go for commercial. I would not recommend a combination.

Also make sure you put atleast one level into "housing" because one of the terran missions (something I will discuss later) gives you two free housing levels granted that you have a level in it already.

Now that you have made your income choice research a few into housing (I recommend five) then dedicate the time into researching atleast a hundred of either agriculture or commercial.

Now that you have your research complete it is time to go to your shiplist. Buy a few turns of Viator 2`s and go to the exploration page. Explore until it says your at max colonies. Then go to the "projects" tab on the lefthand side of your screen. you should have researched colony clusters already and it should have "colony upgrade" as an option.

Upon clicking on it a new menu asking what size colony yu would like to make. Having only 16 planets and all of them single planet colonies you will want to make three c1`s. Quickly go back to exploration and explore atleast three more planets to protect these colonies. The top three colonies on your "manage colonies page" are your "boarders" and are the only ones you can lose in any single battle. After losing those you will go into "damage protection" and be unattackable for

24 hours, that is assuming you do not build any ships besides starbases and scouts or attempt to attack anyone. If you do either of those things your next three colony slots will be at risk. THis is why its important to protect those clusters you have made right away.

Now explore for thirteen more planets. If it begins to take more turns to explore buy more scouts until it only takes one turn again. Once you have explored thirteen more planets go back to the "prjects" page and click on "colony upgrade" again. Create two more c1s then create a c2.

A note: Everytime you make a cluster it will ask you to choose from the existing mineral types of those planets your clustering to decide the mineral type the cluster will be. Each planet generates its type of mineral (e.g. terran metal, strafez organism, etc). These minerals are used to make most ships.

Now that you have a c2 go to your "manage colonies" page and click on the c2 near the bottom. You want to put the amount corolating with "available labor" into the box across from "mining". Then click on "build". The mining buildings you construct will extract ore (not minerals such as terran metal or red crystal, just ore). Now disband your scouts and go back to the research page. Continue or reseach of either agriculture or commercial, checking your "manage colonies" page every once in awhile. When the section marked "ore" in your c2 stats reads zero click on your c2. Now click on "plunder colony" and then "confirm plunder".

Repeat this process until you have about 1 million ore. Now sell it (in increments) on the market for the price it is going for or a few lower.

Now begin the exploration process again. Except this time you are looking for 800+ land barrens! Don`t worry if you don`t settle for smaller planets you will be happier in the long run. After you have developed two 20k+ c2s exploring will become far too expensive.

As you create c2s put enough "housing" on them for the available labor

to match or exceed slightly the "land available". Once you have that much labor dedicate it all to either agriculture or commercial (whichever one you researched).

Now it is time for you too fight! I would suggest joining a federation, explain how you have developed your empire and are now ready to battle in the rankings. Look for one with some old players, they will have the best advise when it comes too battling usually. Ask them about stacking, and reffer to manuals about the dynamics about stacking. Battle and keep larger planets to cluster, while either plundering the smaller ones or losing them in battle. Work towards getting a c3, which is a single colony of 125 planets (how exciting).

These are the preliminary steps to building a terran empire. The whole gathering ore forever is completely unnecessary and I recommend against it. I did not copy and paste this, and I don`t care if it is shabby or poorly put together, this is my attempt to help Mr. Andrew.

All of this is assuming you play GC RT. If you don`t disregard it and refer to another referance to learn the ropes.

I just want to leave you with one thing, that I feel I have already stressed. The so called research "tree" on you rresearch page is NOT a tree. You will not have to provide it with fertilizer or any sort of soil at all. It lacks leaves and roots and all the other defining aspects of a real tree. I STRONGLY suggest you don`t forget this important concept, no matter how hard it is to understand.
