good point Gronoria!...i assumed it was a recursive sequence in my calculations as well, which slightly underestimates the function...so add 1 turn to each of those that i described
...and I made a typo for the guardian opal: should have been 647078, so now 647079

Wow Bip you`re describing a recursive relation there, really cool that you came up with that as it`s often not easy to find. Though I think it might be easier for calculations to use exploration points needed=5000*1.2^(x-1) with x being the number of planets you have.

bobby: assuming unlimited wealth, it would depend on race/scoutship:
terran V2=396253 turns
miner ranger=280193 turns
guardian opal=647089 turns
viral kohoutek=417687 turns

they`re in the range of few weeks-months of non-stop RT-playing :)

how fun, i figured out that i need 3.16574E+34 to explore 1 borders at my current planet count :D

For bonus points - what`s the minimum number of turns required to explore with 150 planets, taking into account the build time of the scouts?

lol... i can`t remember the details much... but partially i did explore to the limit and since i didn`t think my resources last much, i had to use what Stephen gave us... ;)

but for sure there were thousands (or perhaps almost a million) of V2s.... lol...

If I`m not mistaken VALJA explored 200 planets so he could finsih that mission.

oh it can be done? uhhh...

for 596 planets it would take me 6.48275665 x 10^50 exploration points for me to explore one planet.

so with 100k virals scouts that would ammount to 1.62068916 x 10^43 turns for that one planet

then lets see, so thats about 3.40354087 x 10^36 paid years or 4.00416573 x 10^36 non paid years.

to get it to one turn per planet would take 1.62068916 x 10^48 scouts, then lets see that translates into 9.00382867 x 10^45 turns worth of scouts. that would take me 1.89085604 x 10^39 paid years to build or 2.22453652 x 10^39 non paid years to build.

sorry for leaving things in scientific notation but i really didn`t want to type out zero`s basiclly it boils down to a really really really long time. but don`t worry i`m working on it i already have 5 bil some exploration points saved up, the bad thing is it seems UW`s effect exploration points or i would have close to 25 bil

and who knows if my calcs were right, i did my best a long while back to RE a formula that was close as possible to stephens chart. never know with that stephen math even if my calcs were dead on.
