collective advice

Well as a collective, if you aren`t going to turn guard good luck.

until someone attacks the guard with 3 stacks of 7 range ships with missile damage on aggressive. then the guard gets the shizzle pwnd out of it

yar be gaurd to pwn the shizzle out of coll. and most races :P

well for digging yes... but you cant use the planets to gain income

coll cant use ferts.... or any u class for that matter.

well seeming as I`m still awake at this ungodly hour i`ll give advice that I give everyone when it comes to race specific stacking tactics:

Fight them and LOOSE


You learn more from losses than from wins. See what works and what doesn`t. Study their entries in the manual to find their weaknesses and your ships weaknesses to them. Avoid bad match ups like herc vs sloop or brigs. They get slaughered (the hercs) or worse, captured and used against you in the rapid counter.

Just fight against them a bit, or even try them out on a different server and see what tactics you find yourself using as them and learn to combat them on your primary server.

Pretty much though fight against them and learn that way. stacking hints and tips never really work because everyone has their own techniques and styles for stacking. be it spams, half spams full stacks or a mix depending on the actual opponent they are facing and race.

There are so many variables that make fights pretty much luck to win. All you need to do is learn to stack that luck in your favor more than theirs. DONT go hitting a collective with runners or queens, you will just self own yourself and give the collective player, and myself, a very good laugh :P

otherwise its hard to specifically stack to defend against collectives - you can try queen spams or herc spams but if a collective is leadin galleons then queen spams are useless and if they are leadin brigantines then herc spams are nearly useless

other than that nirvanas work quite well but a nice even stack you can beat anything - best advice tbh
