Who knws we may be able to withdraw frm the market by xmas 2010
E EvilAbadayos
that depends really on how you play and if you want to cripple your fed war opponents

no point really talking about it though cos Stephen is too lazy to do any updates for GC, even when they are served up on silver platters. Were as UC gets all the love and infact they are getting yet another update in the next few days, it may even be done already. That makes over 4 updates since GC got it`s last game mechanics update (server updates are NOT game updates, they are needed to keep it going, not fixing bugs or balancing!)

The thing is prices will still be wat they are nw. ur still gna need food to feed ur hungry villages. tvs and microwaves to keep them occupied when they should be working to build ur fleets which still will need the respective minerals to make them big and strng, just to get pawnd along the way, so who cares who post what and what price?
E EvilAbadayos
no it wouldnt...undercutting their prices with your own would result in eliminating them from the equation.

Undercutting prices is a valid market tactic and used around the world..why not here?
S Slavyzz
which would make those tactics difficult, I agree it would be a good addition
D Deiloche
The thing is, you still pretty much need to buy the stuff. And that generally means that you have to buy what is available.
E EvilAbadayos
i say federation tag not empire names.

That way it`s still unknown of who the player selling is, just the general fed selling it.

it allows embargos to a fed and makes fed wars easier to play market warfare rather than otherwise. It alwso makes UW`s hader
B BobbaFatt
ameranth: ppl already do market transfers only difference is now you would know who it came from
A Amaranth
some people might choose to only buy goods and minerals and food from their fedmates only.
I Imagine{A{Cool{Name
would matter to me I would still buy the cheapest available
T Treize
yeah, that would be rather interesting. many empires would have a hard time selling their goods lol

I like the idea of names. I think embargoes and whatnot would be interesting, THOUGH: Have to be able to buy lower posts, not just the top post.
S Sol
hmm

adding names to market posts would make my job MUCH easier and would add a new twist to the market in the form of boycotting certain players. hmm

id imagine it`d be rather simple to do also. pity ste cant even do simple -_-
B bipbippy
heh, i like the idea of adding our names next to our posts and then having trade embargoes :P
It would add something new and interesting to the game :)
I Imagine{A{Cool{Name
I guess I stand corrected, if it causes errors by all means smite the evil doers.
S Sol
When unimaginably large ammounts are posted on the market it can cuse general game errors and bugs.

Also its bypassing a pre-set limit so therefor illegal.
Would be extremely easy to fix but as usual its getting ste to do it thats the tricky part.
W WhatIsTheMatrix
hahaha trade embargoes... then we`d all have a bunch of cuban empires running around and lil castros complaining on the chat or on here about it all day long...

No names please. I prefer my goods to sell, and i personally dont care who buys them. And if they are there, and for a good price, i dont care who sells them. I will buy them if I need them.
I Imagine{A{Cool{Name
What is the problem with posting such large amounts? I mean seriously, is it really that much of a game killer? I personally do not care who posted them. It doesn`t in any way negatively effect my game or anyone`s game, just let it go.
V VALJA
there are pros and cons for transparency in everything... whether we`re up to it or not...
