Agri Collective question

Yes, Ishamael is correct. Even if you were eating CGs and had a 5k loyalty planet, if food is over 7 you will not be making a profit. Without the loyalty and CGs, the max you can buy food and still make money is lower than 7.5. And having a higher population or housing level unfortunately doesn`t fix that (in fact it can make the problem worse if food prices are above 7).

Even if food prices stayed at 1 (which trust me, they don`t), your income would be mediocre at best. Better to plunder those suckers or put the research into agri if you don`t like to plunder.

no.. terran tax empires are pretty nonexistant. for them to make a profit off of tax food has to be a constant 15 or lower. For collectives they are getting the same amount of money for 2x the food so for them to make a profit at all would mean food at a constant 7.5 or lower... tax coll=meh. someone made an older thread on just that.

isn`t it possible to make the same amount of money through tax with collective as it is with Terran? Terran have 0 modifier on tax. Collective has -50% but can have 2x pop doesn`t that balance it back out to 0? Or does GC math somehow not allow that to happen?

all agri empires make negative creds per turn but large food per turn. Just do the math of how much food is selling for (times) amount of food made per turn.

As long as that figure is above your credits lost per turn dont worry at all

IIRC terran can make positive money by upping loyalty on their colonies due to their tax mod but collectives tax mod is so bad you will only ever loose money regardless of how much loyalty or population you have, it`s just hard coded that way
