not able to get paid

I get this when I type in my billing address ( not that I ever got a bill before from GC so why another pointless step?)


Failed Billing address verification
Trying altenative payment method...

and I cant get any further. Whats going on?

Ok, you can have the same Ip with someone halfway across the globe, but thats only locally and within your own network, same with the other persons. Each person will get a unique Ip from their ISP when you access out of the local network. cheers

guys if ip address is different then why do some ppl have the same IP when they obviously dont live in the same house.

i refer to this game and others where you are pressumed to be a multi when your not. also some games you are prevented from attacking some1 as you have the same IP as them?

It could however have been the poor IP tracing program that stephen has which captures the IP adress but im almost certain just guesses where you live.

It once said i was based in USA. :P

You can mask IP`s, plus you can actualy trick some sites with lower methods as to where your location is.

Best web programs to find location actually have software that goes to ur browser or interacts with CORE compents of ur computer to get information instead so it cant be tricked.

Its all not-smart & pointless but ya screw it all

Sol... you are incorrect here. IP Adresses *are* unique, you can use them to track down excactly where in the world you computer is located at any given time.

trust me, i see things behind the scenes of this game and you get IP adresses one which says its in england and the other which it says is in USA and the IP`s are identical.

Heh, just tried putting in Germany as country, added some random street etc and it worked..

Guess you have to get specify a country that goes with the ip address.

*wonders what would happen if you were in country not on the list..

Otherwise I find it hard to understand why everything is in german when look up a web pages..I dont ask for that so somewhere somehow, someone knows..lol..

This info I give is just for shipping address and I guarantee you that the first page after clicking the visa symbol has absolutely no way of checking out bank info. Besides, its the address I want the bill shipped to. It could be anywhere.

uh Sol, IP addresses ARE unique to each country, and in most countries, unique to only 1 computer. you might wanna read up before speaking

IP adresses are not unique to a specific country or computer i.e. someone in america can have the same IP adress as someone in europe or asia or wherever.

It is more likely that the information you are entering dpes not match up with what your bank has on file.

I find paypal is the easiest way to donate to the game. :)

Hmm..could it be because that its because Im currently staying in Berlin, but my billing address is Denmark? Maybe the ip is traced to Berlin?

Just frustrating when you really want to kick some dotv beeehind, but have to stop after Atreides, darck, black, arch and founders cause your outta turns ;)
