I'm not sure how this quote got attributed to Stephen but maybe he didn't mean just the programmers.

I've been suspended for several days now & there doesn't seem to be any official word on the reason for, status or the outcome of the investigation into my suspension. Judging from my continued suspension, I can only presume that, in the admins' opinion, they have sufficient evidence of an infringement on my part, whatever that is.

I have informed Pandy that the admins can destroy my empire if they believe that I am guilty of infringing the rules. So far, they have not. I'm not sure if it's because, in their mind, that punishment is far too severe for my purported offence or they have no firm evidence of my guilt. If it is the latter, I see no reason for my continued suspension. If they are still in the midst of the investigation, I also see no reason why I should be suspended & presumed guilty until proven innocent.

Or, maybe I'm already being punished & they're waiting for my empire to be deleted for non-activity. If so, have the courtesy to tell me what I did wrong & the evidence that you have to back up your assertion.

In any case, I grow tired of this game & the arbitrary manner in which it is run & will take my leave of this game now.

I have seen players getting punished for talking about non-Spacefed issues, & I HAVE SEEN PLAYERS PUNISHED FOR TALKING ABOUT SPACEFED ISSUES.

During the days when there were rampant illegal market transfers, I WAS THREATENED WITH SUSPENSION IF I PURSUED A LEGITIMATE COURSE OF ACTION TO SUPPRESS THE ILLEGAL ACTIVITY TEMPORARILY.

While players scream foul over the exploitation of VM to escape counters, I GET SUSPENDED FOR BEING IN VM.

In an attempt to punish an empire, I sacrifice a few hours of sleep & GET SUSPENDED AFTER ATTACKING SAID EMPIRE

I presume that my offence has something to do with my last game action since they have yet to tell me what I did.

I have had numerous empires crying foul over my modus operandi & have never been taken to task although I would presume that the matter has been looked into previously. Yet, the current set of admins have found fit to suspend me. Since I have no intention of changing the way that I play & do not deem it a breach of rules, I do not see any reason why I should continue playing if I'm going to be suspended again for doing what I do.

I believe I know who my accuser is. I am told that he was previously suspended for planet transfers & there is strong suspicion on the part of several players that he is still doing the same, ie getting borders off associates. On my part, I have no strong evidence that he is infringing the rules. However, I do get suspicious when I see this empire collect 6 borders in the space of 15 seconds fighting at, I believe, about 1-2m pr & carrying a base pr of 500+k against empires without the baggage of a high base pr. Proving collusion in a battle is not an easy task & that I leave to the all-powerful, all-knowing admins.

And, for the benefit of some empires:

50cent - what you used to do with strafez is deemed botting.
Questirians - what you used to do with your lonesome ship is deemed botting.

My apologies to the above empires for singling them out. I am very sure that there are a lot of other players who do what you do/did but I've only had cause to pay close attention to you 2 in the course of playing this game recently.
