basicly a thread to discuss idea`s suggestions and fixes to the rules

aswell as formalising them so that they are concrete , as the trial wasnt perfect but i enjoyed it and im sure yall did.

we need seperate rules ofc for each gamespeed , along with a set reward for them.

Current + Future Rules:

C3`s gained from NPC or Galactic Council to Fed Leaders
C3`s can be 1-2 Land Size alternating the value of Certain C3`s
Any Alteration to a C3 will make it void ( assimilate / infect / gordo / plunder )

Vacation mode while holding a C3 will void Your EMPIRE instead of your C3`s , this means if you VM with a C3 , the C3 & You are useless to your fed. but if you return and its stolen, the C3 will still count. this rule doesnt count if they are infected / assimilated / gordoed

Rule facing this update to prevent numerous abuses im sure yall can think of if you put yourself in mr admins shoes , and to make mr admins life easier

Activated Vacation Mode will exclude you from ALL Galactic Council handouts , this includes Randomly given out C3`s and Rewards.

Fed Hopping / Creating / Kicking / Other such unfair advantages any of you can bring forward need rules applying to ensure fair balanced and enjoyable gaming.

i dont think its fair if 6 people in 6 different feds get kicked , make a new fed and beat a fed thats winning , then most likely just return to there feds again.

HOWEVER , i do like the general idea , so im thinking something like a 2 week rule before you become a valid contribution to your fed

cant recall if i missed anything o.o`

Rule : All 1-2 Land C3`s must be either plundered or gordo`d After Event Rewards handed out

Yeah as very young empire, i think it would definetely incentivise people to play

And also to ACTIVELY participate i.e not staying in DP all the time

Imagine a new player in a new fed, fighting another new fed for like umm 5 , 150-250% u class planets , i.e 3-5k fert, 3-5k eden, 15-25k u large

or like islander said artifacts or clusters

Which gives other players something to hunt for, but with say more than 3 events running concurrently with 1 monitor each ( this should but does not have to be a guide or a Mod, it can be any player, who is willing to log daily reports of actions)

i.e Players hitting other players, maintaining a set amount of pr, holding most cluser/planets etc

the only problem being that fed-fed contests must be fair and comparable, which is purely down to personal judgement

but should probably be something like .. umm comparable research levels ? total land in a fed ? pr at time of war ? thatsa a bit more difficult

but its definetely an idea that opens lots of possibilities, encourages new players, and gives everyone something to aim for

That`s freakin awesome, fighting to control other feds name or have x empire restart, that would be hilarious xD

I really like the fed`s put forward the stakes, so even the little feds can participate with each other for like 20 gordos or sometihng easily obtainted =).

I definetly like.

anyhows the fed war event i had hoped to start on the 10th will start on 1st of feb and end at the end of feb , same rules as december

one of the goals of this is to make an event the staff of future dont need to host or put forward a great deal ( instead the people taking part do event themselves )

this idea in future ofc wont need C3`s and big rewards from admin powers

instead the people taking part state the requirements ( most wins vs other fed , most planets stolen , most land stolen , biggest planet increase / loss etc etc )

ofc the reward is also set up and dealt with by the ref member of staff , be it x land / planet / artifact ( ref ensures both sides dispose this for the cause , then the winning side gets the other , and if needed admin can add an extra 50% to it , so winning fed gets 3x what they sacrifise at start )

Excellent idea if it can work out

And plus seperate to that, the admin can also throw in extra rewards

like i dunno for example

race to the top... the fed which maintains the top spot in pr, after a reset after i dunno 2 weeks gets a reward

In ogame fed wars are set by damage made to opposing fed, so can be judged by number of planets taen ?

Also would make interesting reading and get people involved and working together like back in `04

The backstabbing and intrigueis what got me hooked in the first place

I wld rly look forward to something like this

I haven;`t like the c-3 idea, , purely because once gordoed they are useless, but still it has seemed like a good idea in the making !

a stake can even be one fed has to disband , loses his fed name , or gets fed name replaced by the enemy ( aslong as doesnt break rules ) ^^

well infernal these 1 month multi fed war events are merely a beta test for me to create a ` real fed war ` not just one that you get to x2 eachother

mixed with rewards for taking part and ofc made enjoyable as possible

this is how i do all my testing ( used to be on DM but due to whining ... )

my goal from these fed war events is to make a fair balanced rule system that is as much fun as possible and gets you fighting eachother as much as possible , then we can shorten the 1 month to 1-2 week and allow feds to declare a ` real ` war on eachother with stakes & conditions they themselves put forward , and one side actually wins and one side loses and hell lots of fun and blood.

so please do contribute to making my idea possible by discussing the below post , because once thats done we can get on with the 1 month war then yall can declare these wars left and right and basicly hold your own events ( with staff as ref`s )

( examples . fed A declares big war with fed B , the stake is 50 gordo ( ref takes 50 gordo from each fed ) then the winning fed gets 100 gordo )

this opens up a very big big area of things i can do , such as artifacts planets land money minerals etc etc

The easiest way to separate them between different feds would be to assign each fed a number and that is the land of the c3 they get, short of a large amount of feds a gordo couldnt move the number from 1 fed to anothers.

obviously how you decide who gets prizes would need to be discussed though

lol it seems that some people are never happy

I for one appreciate all the idea and input Mara puts into the game

Most ppl wldn;t know a good idea if it smacked them in the face

Maybe an idea, would be to post up a new ideas thread for future events, and see what ppl have to say, instead of continuosly moaning

i was thinking of handing out C3`s per 3-5 wins on a participating fed war enemy

rather than just handing them out.

for every X ammount of wins you stash you can have the person of your choice claim a C3

( naturally you cant claim them all at the end of the month , so balancing methods for that need to be talked about )

wanted to discuss the above for this event before just throwing 5 C3`s or so at yall ( because it feels more fun )

any ideas when he`s coming back? I came back down in PR to be ready for this because he told us it`d start on a certain day. Not complaining, just a bit frustrated because I could have stayed where I was (a seemingly safe point in the PRs) and not lost the borders for my other C3...
