eventhough i`m bored most of the time on GC and i`ve litterally wasted 10-16 hours a day most days since 04-05 til now where i`m not on as much as i used to be, but still it`s sucked away a good portion of my life. i`m not really sure why i`ve stayed around, atleast not entirely sure on anything. the game has it`s shining moments when it seems almost like a dream to play. but for the most part i guess it is the people i`ve met, some more so than others over the years.
the only real thing i can think that makes this game so addictive is just how your life seems to mesh and sprial together with everyone else`s whether you want to or not. here in this game we write our own story out day by day by the actions we take. that then becomes a rich and flavorful part of GC history. i still love remembering varrious era`s on RT different parts of wars, the politics involved the players who take their place on stage and give beautiful performances then the light always fades as a new set and new cast is usually ushered in, though there are always returning characters. though there is an interesting general history for GC, everyone always has their own prospective, the reason why they did what they did, the battles they fought. the cheers of victory and the tears of defeat.
in all honesty i`m afraid to quit, i`m afraid to miss that, that is probably the reason why i don`t vm much at all because i`m worried i`ll miss something. i don`t want to miss any of the action or drama, even if i`m not directly involved i still want to watch it unfold with my own eyes. i want to feel the emotions that envelope people in their moment of triumph, there`s nothing fight for your empires life with colonies on your borders. or the next best thing to cheer for a friend as he fights for his empires right to exist. or to aid in the destruction or preservation of a UW. it makes you feel alive.
that`s the best reason i can give for my reasons for still being around
