to me they both seem like races that would enslave people and are agressive in nature as they take colonies not explore

also the story lne says maru used to be terran slave butthey broke free so it would be against what little story the game has
if your race can enslave then ur race is able to be slaved aswell
and it would be VERY epicly hard to get unenslaved as a poor collective/maru
