Common Newbie Mistakes.

I would like for you veterans to list things that you did as a newbie that turned out not to be the best or most efficient way of doing things, especially when you were trying to put together a good base of planets.

I will start with some examples I have learned:

1) HOLDING ON TO U. Rich planets to mine all that ore, when you could get alot more ore per turn plundering the planet and using the slot for exploring for other planets

2) HOLDING ON TO the not-so-large U. Larges (2000-6000 range)

3) BUILDING TOO MUCH infrastructure on planets you will plunder anyway.


TELL ME YOUR EXAMPLES!!!

HA maybe we are in your mind and all you are doing is typing into a keyboard which isnt attached to a computer?????

and VALJA we have the programme "are you smarter than a 10 year old?" - it sounds a lot better

we have the gameshow "Are you smarter than a 5th grader"... perhaps in SFGC, we can have our own gameshow... "Are you smarter than HouseAtreides"... lol... j/k... :)

also assuming because starbases are good in defence thats all you need to defend with

researching anything but what is going to make your income - its not worth it its not sensible and its not going to gain you money

tbh im really lazy so rarely bother using multiple tabs to build if im using a pc without firefox. If the game was more active out of dp this would be a bigger issue but alot of time you can go a long time without being hit even sat at base pr

Or I think hold "ctrl" and click to open a new tab. It`s useful for building a lot of ships in relatively quick succession.

UberPansy, you said "not opening multiple windows when going out of dp" and I had no idea you could open miltiple windows.

What do you do and how do you do it?!? Which pages do you have open?

You guys are hilarious!! You should just have fun in this game instead of poking at the newbies..xD

FYI: I think a ton of newbies mistake this game for UC. :) Many of those players say GC is soo hard!! UC can do this and that..blahblah..

LMAO u guys are funny.

hey i think we should build in an anti debt feature for newbies.
Newbs seem do go into Debt way to much.

simply for empires that are within 14 days of empire creation date (NOT empire restart)
anytime they hit debt. they get a warning they hit debt. & also a detailed list of what could be causing their debt.

then either let them fix the problem themselves or have an auto helper. like if a person hits debat their fleet is auto disband. plus other random not-smart features.

Oh, here`s one... don`t PM me or any other staff members with something not too well thought through like, "Can you give me ships to RE?" or "Can you hold onto my colonies while I restart so I don`t lose them?"

P.S. You have no idea how many PMs I get that I laugh/sigh at...
