I think if you use an artifact, the person it is used on should not be able to tell who it came from so the game will be more mysterious and thus better

the whole point of being able to see who used them on you is so you can reciprocate or retaliate.

nice idea , but kinda wrong , artifacts are bit like fighting , they hit you , you counter atack , if its a secret we cant defend ourselfs using offence aswell as shields
