Food for Terran

im commercial terran but i have 10 agri infra levels and i make 1mil money and 100,000food per turn.

im agri terran. i make 3mil food per turn :O
is that gooD? :O

Well RT is about how much you play, not how you use your turns...so not surprising that the market might be waterlogged. xD

apparently so is everyone else... food prices are draggin a bit in rt... :D lol

yes, you will get much better bang for your buck in research with agriculture than you will with commercial. Some people say its not good cuz you`re dependent on the market, but its like if you sell at least at 4 you`ll always make more than a commercial terran with equivalent research and land. Plus, when you cluster, you get additional bonuses to agriculture production (esp with c3).

So really, it`s a more a question of, would you rather make 1,000,000 a turn, or would you rather make anywhere between 1,000,000 - 10,000,000 a turn depending on food prices? Cuz food always sells at least at 4 or 5 per unit, unless you`re on a crazy server like RT where on some days people can produce so much food that it sells cheaper than CGs.

well out of my experiance with terran i have 2 say agri based terran is a great thing.....

always go agri if you`re a terran.
food prices at 3.5 is equivalent to commerce. Going any direction -- you still have to research infra. Might as well put it into the one that`ll make you most cash.

food always sells ... but it can take some time.

so what I think LastCrusader meant is you need a larger cash stockpile to start building. You can`t start building just running on empty as you can with commerce per-turn-direct income.

Commercial is good for starters, someone who is more expert i would say tax, truley because at certain times tax makes alot of money. I found my friend had maxed cash in a few months as terran.

food is the easiest way to earn cash, but you really can`t do much in power climbing. Commercial requires lotta reseach and a few good clusters, but afterwards you`ll be making big bucks and flying high ;D!

if you`re commercial or housing income as terran then you`ll want to just buy food I would think. Although you can probably use a fertile to be self sufficient if you are commercial and wipe most of your pop.
