New Missions?

Well, are the missions comming along?

hmm... well I am almost done with maru missions, I just need to edit/revise them once they are finished :P
A lot of parts may be rewritten though based on a new proposal for mission dynamics, we shall see.

One week to go ;)

ahah... ahahah... hrmmm.... I`d say about 2 weeks for marauder, a couple months for the others. we`ll see how it goes. sometimes it can go faster or slower depending.

so not to be a PITA but is there a rough ETA for the new missions?

Why not let people collect on missions at there leisure? You know complete the mission but save the reward for when you really need it. It would allow people to continue the missions without wasting the reward.

Also, what is up with the research rewards? If you have already done the research that you are being rewarded with, give an alternative. Preferably something other than "You are screwed!"

the loyalty missions should only be done when you ALREADY have max loyalty as they take you over max.

In regards to your planets suggestion the system effectivly `explores` you a planet, it is not stored and handed out, hence the randomness of what you get. 99% of the time it`s junk, just like exploring, but then again you may get a 12k larges or 2 land spaz.

The use of them as a tactical `free` PCC is long ruinning and used by many when they get screwed by an unexpected attack/unexpected inability to log in or just plain inability to defend clusters. What ever the reason they do the job just fine lol

yea, no kidding. I always thought that the loyalty rewards for terran were kind of lame considering that it the bonus can be easily gotten in a few days of rewarding (depending on game speed). And if the extra planets were actually NICE (like 5000 land barren or 10k U large for completing act 1 for example), then people might be motivated to do them. But as is, it`s better to "Save" them for when you can`t explore and really really need borders (which, in most cases, is never if you are decent in fighting and stacking and dont have a long string of failed battles).

I don`t know whether to thank EvilAbadayos, and Exule; or curse them for extending my addiction to Space Crack! Stephen should thank them though, I have 58 days left on paid and was just starting to ween myself of this addiction. hmmm

oh and for the record the only hard guard missions are the 200 and 300 planet ones, the others are not hard just take a little time and patience.

All existing missions (terran/miner/guard) are getting extended out to act 3 with storyline modification and altered rewards for some existing missions to tie them all into one story for all the races with the sub plots and story line triggers and hooks that should hopefully blend in nicely so that the missions are not just something you skip through for either loyalty or those extra borders whilst hoarding which is what I see them as personally at the moment.

sol, gaurd isnt that hard, but i hate that 2 planet thing. Look for 2 marshy lol.

mallow the gaurd missions are notoriously difficult though. i think we can keep them a little easier than that, maybe save a few toughies for the end though :P

are the new missions going to be harder than act 2 (if i remember last mission is get 300 planets)

wondering how you can get any mission harder than that but still possible on slower servers

I`d be willing to listen to ideas, but I`ve already got a lot of story line planned out though :P
