JadeFalcon..its not said the world will end but rather that the world ends its cycle or era. which doesnt mean it stops or gets destroyed but rather starts from the beginning. after the majan legends we currently live in the world of the 4th era!
by the way the calendar you are talking about also coincides with the somalian legend of planet nibiru on its way back to our solar system and also with the calculations made lately on our decreasing magnetic field which has almost come to an end.
