and yes deiloche would be allowed one of the 5 empires if he volunteered.....

as of yet julatsa doesnt show interest in this when i ask her to change the D maru shiplist to the one staff and public have all made together on some sim`s etc

although the task would take me 2 minutes if i had the ability , its 2 minutes of GC not UC.

then after the shiplist update we would need ste to create 5 of them on RT and give them the new race attributes etc ( not hard at all , i could do it in minutes and ive no idea ) , then ide have 5 volunteers with different playstyles test them at all powers and make it an event at the same time.

then we would have results and be pretty much complete

and i`m sure you`re on the shortlist for that......

So now we have to wait for stephen to have time to fix this bug? Seems like a non starter to me.

They will complain. Everybody had a fair chance to play in the Death Matches too, and they complained.

If everybody gets a fair chance to test the d marus =p i don`t think they will complain ...or would they =/

Mallow, there is a big difference in letting D.maru as it is and open it to everyone...
Or set it with spec`s as is describe on more than 1 location in this treath, and let it run for a few day`s, and than do some re-balance. Instead of whis should be done, no that should be done. Ni this, no that. I like this idee better, No mine is better.

There is no harm done, Like StarScream say`s test on DM server.

At least it gives players a feeling of new changes.

=D i always support the creation of new balance races !!! if we have new races that can`t be played in UC =P i am pretty sure we can drag more players into this game =P but to me everything has to start from Stephen himself to officially saying that he wants to have the D Marus implemented in the announcements section =D then maybe they can open a dm server and begin the testings =P

thats actually a really good idea Biohazard - if you activate D Marus for a week or so to let people try them, people would have to restart their empires to try them so not everyone would go D Maru so the server wouldnt be spammed with D Maru wanabes

also would be nice to see how the race actually copes

but would have to restart all the empires that have gone D Maru which might be a bit of work for Maraudian....

KalZul was never and is never going to be a player based race. It is totally an NPC race to help make the game a tad more interesting

but the realy question is, When will you let the fist D.maru out in GC-RT.
Instead of all this debate we can also set it. And see what happens.

This topic is debated over more more tha 2 years, just like Kalzul. Never has any action been taken to activate it. Only talking has ever been done.

Activate D. Maru, wait a few weeks with tweeking unless really nessesary. so ppl can try out things.

Lets DO things for a change instead of talking about it.

Maru : unlike past admins i dont talk about what we could do and more to what i have the power to do without stephen , this is the only case at the moment were stephen may be needed to do something , and something small , so yes it will take longer than the other topics i wish to push forward
