All you have to do is build some Commercial infrastructure on any other planets you get
youll need to have a little bit of housing too, so that you have enough population, also some ore
youll figure it out =)
when i was first starting the blue (?) next to things always helped me a ton, give little tips when you click them

build scouting ships then explore or fight for them
