its not a bug -_- its a every battle accurance and included in the battle formula , dont just assume everything is a bug
everything in a battle happens in a battle , if a sim says different or your calculation then thats whats bugged , battles work how battles are meant to work , your bugs come seconds after the battle if your to encounter any ( such as ship capture / planets being in the wrong order etc )

Scion - I thought lod had made it simple already. My Lictor shouldn`t have died because they should have had a flanking attack, and they DO have no retal. The question I had was why they got hit by the lyth once my swords had died - and whether this was a bug or an intended part of the game.
I`ve seen it a few times before but I don`t always pay that much attention to the long list of details about the battle report, and once I reported it as a bug but maraudian couldn`t be bothered to look through the details of the report, same as this time. This is quite a clear example, but as lod explained it always happens - I wasn`t sure about that.
Either way it`s good for spammers ;-)

not a bug lets make it simple, read the ship attribute, lyth has no retal attribute and well sadly your swords / bswords and alot of stuff dosent have no retal meaning after they hit the lyth they die lol.

There have been loads of posts about how to discourage spamming and encourage stacking. I guess fixing this would be a good start - I would`ve won if my lictor hadn`t got wiped.
Incidently - why did my broadsword survive? Is there a number of retals limit for stacks?

I don`t know what is bug and not bug any more, I just consider it normal xD

yeah, it`s called Stephen math
Its a combat bug:
1st round is normal, your lyth get killed , the rest of attackers stack is killed.
2nd round its your swords vs his lyth and the rest of your stack flanking the lyths.
the swords attack first due to higher range and wipe themself when the lyth retaliate.
If they werent wiped the lyths now would shoot back, ant thats when the bug occurs, the lyths memorize the "we shoot back" token which would be used now against the swords if there were any left. but now the lyth use it against the next (flanking) stack even if it has "no retal", thats why your Lictors died. Happens a lot to me as collective, cant count the number of flanking Queen stacks i lost due to this ...

Ok here is your explanation more or less:
When you have ships without no retal in your stack and they attack a ship without no defense, they usually wipe themselves(especially on a 1 stack spam). That`s before the flanking starts.

it happened , so yes it was meant to happen
ok here`s a clue. I`m referring to the 3 stacks destroyed. I guess the hit was on normal since he lost a lot of lyth.....
he lyth spammed you on careful and took a col. It happens a lot =)
