I started off as Dingas, then Wingnut (very similar reasoning to pansy), then as I quit playing on certain servers, I changed my name to RipVanWingnut. Now all my accounts are called RipVanWingnut :)

lol same reason why i chose DarkLuna to begin with deil, just the name i`ve always used when it wanted a name for a country or city ect.

Well, my name originally comes from a written RPG that I had created and played with my friends back in junior high and high school. (By written RPG, I mean that we had an online group where we all posted what our characters did and waited for other members to respond. It was pretty fun.) Deiloche was a semi-sentient magical fortress where many of our characters lived. The name was created based on the concept that it was the fortress of light, or "Day Lock" (which is pretty close to how I pronounced Deiloche.) When I signed up for this game, I figured that I would use the name of my fortress instead of the name of my character because it asked for empire name, not leader name.

Ching is another name for cocaine lol, and also a Chinese dynasty I was kinda obsessed with China when I started playing. Also had the name Bran from Welsh mythology :P

Very interesting thread, I always wanted to know how bobbysindustrialpat got his name, and low and behold I still have no idea @.@

Not that anyone cares but my original name was Pansy because I didn`t want to pick a serious name and pansy sounded appropriately humorous and wimpy. I lost that account though, so I thought I would give my new account some zing and slap an "uber" on the front :P
...makes for a decent nick as well :P

A friend of mine and I were talking about funny names - where the first name and the last name are the same thing. Like Bob Roberts for example. I said Bip Bippy as a joke and it just kinda stuck.

On Slow and Ultra I`m BipsBoobs4Prez, which any of you who`ve been around for a few years probably know the reason for.

On Normal I`m MegaCheater because when I re-signed up on the slower servers I made all my names say something about cheating and when someone went through and did name changes for me, they forgot that account, so I just left it.

On Fast, I`m Kronos, which if you`re into mythology, is Zeus`s father. But I picked the name because I was watching the movie "The Incredibles" with my 2 year old and "Kronos" is the password that the bad guy uses for his computer and I thought it sounded cool.

Mine is a passing reference to Dante, but more of a play on words- "andante" (pronounced the same) is used in music to mean moderately slow, which seemed appropriate for me. A long time ago I was Kerblakistan- a reference from Austin Powers.

Knossos - I always thought your name was a misspelling of Gnosis. Didn`t know there was a place.

My name comes from Bob - I always use it when I`ve got to input a name online. I remember Rowan Atkinson`s comedic use of the word "Bob" in Blackadder (showing my age here) It`s also in honour of a hillbilly I had an encounter with when I was travelling called BillyJonJoeBob, who p-ed on a bankteller when she confiscated his credit card. I thought hillbillies like that only exsisted on the Simpsons.

The rest of my name comes from some junk I typed in like `industrial palisade` or something, that got truncated to industrial pat, which I liked.

Now that I`ve been playing a couple of years I wish I came up with something more stylish to start with :-(
